Hey Law Nerds. Do you think Trump will win his lawsuit against Big Tech?

Joe Capitalist

Racism is a disease
Or is this just another Release the Kraken/Rudy HairDyeSweat/Pillow Guy bullshit?

TRUMP TO SUE FACEBOOK, TWITTER, GOOGLE OVER ALLEGED CENSORSHIP, SAYS THEY'VE ‘CEASED TO BE PRIVATE’

"I stand before you this morning to announce a very important... development for our freedom and freedom of speech," Trump said from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. . "In conjunction with the America First Policy Institute, I'm filing, as the lead class-action representative, a major class-action lawsuit against the big tech giants, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, as well as their CEOs."

"There is no better evidence that big tech is out of control than the fact that they banned the sitting president of the United States earlier this year," Trump added. "If they can do it to me they can do it to anyone."

Ha! The only legit question is why shouldn't outlets like Facebook Twitter et al be more responsible
for dangerous lies they knowingly allow to be disseminated on their property for extra ad dollars.

No Trump has zero chance, assuming this suit is going to be what I think it is.

I think the most likely outcome is Big Tech will settle with Trump rather than fight him. It avoids discovery and them having to change their behavior while they can still censor and monitor what Trump does on their sites--assuming they let him back on as part of it. Trump can claim victory even as his restored accounts are subject to future action from the same people that just let him back on.

Do you know who his legal team is?

Laurel, Abbott & Costello?

There will be no suit. He has no case. Trump did not honor the agreement that we all sign. Trump is just raising money off it. He knows how to play his followers. They never question what Trump says. That is why they get laughed at so often.

If Trump's liars... err, lawyers, were smart (is there such a thing as a smart lawyer?) they'd drop a foot thick stack of printed out Facebook pages that violate their terms of service in one way or another that haven't been taken down or otherwise been affected by Facebook. If those pages are additionally of one political slant, and it's obvious, Facebook is hit on that alone. Trump's claim becomes one of he was discriminated against based on speech others were not banned for and that the ban was solely motivated by Facebook's personal / corporate politics. That's not part of their terms of service.
He could go further, and find a whole raft of other people who were banned or otherwise censored on the same grounds and make the lawsuit class action.

The problem for Facebook is that they clearly do not closely hew to their terms of service and apply them in an indiscriminate manner. That will absolutely destroy them in court. Their only defense to that is to show that they are absolutely even handed and impassionate in following through their terms of service. In fact, the very length and often specificity of Facebook's terms of service will come back to bite them in the ass.

They will have to show with specificity why they banned Trump and how he violated those terms of service.

Nerds are too smart to fall for tRump and his unAmerican ass kissers' bs for the following APA citation reasons.

Corporations have the right to withhold service if they choose to. Trump even called this farce a class action. A class if one. This is Trump raising money. Send him money TA. and stop responding. Trump has nothing.

Nerds don't run Facebook, or Google for that matter...

Whoever contemplated the idea? Actually you missed the mark of what a Nerd is, and it does not necessarily have anything to do with politics but highly intellectual competence. This is something that tRump and his bile of ass kissing atrocity on Earth has nothing in common with. This comes to being odious and disgraceful clump of worthless and subhuman creatures as a liability on the common decency of humanity on Earth.

The proper definition of a Nerd:

Definition of nerd
1: a person devoted to intellectual, academic, or technical pursuits or interests
This book is essential reading for every hacker, computer nerd, systems analyst, middle manager or computer-store browser enamored of computer wizardry.
— William Stockton
He's happy to be thought of as a nerd with street cred. He [Neil DeGrasse] shines best in impromptu settings like talk shows or needling cosmologists at the annual Asimov debates … about nothingness or alternate universes.
— Dennis Overbye
Will a dab of Shakespeare daintily perfume my wit or just sound like the literary belching of a compulsive nerd?
— Gary Taylor"

Zuckerberg dropped out of college in his sophomore year and never completed a course of study for a bachelor's or any other degree. He for all intents, is a high school graduate. That he and some friends invented Facebook and it took off is to his (and more likely their) credit in coming up with a marketable product. But Zuckerberg is not a nerd.

My thoughts exactly!

He could never make class. I can't wait to see his solicitation mailer.

"Were you disallowed by Facebook and Twitter from lying to cheat in Presidential elections online using proprietary software at no cost to you between 2015 and 2021?!, If so you may be eligible for substantial monetary damages!"

Despite the headwinds of challenges against myself, I never dropped out of colleges but earned my degrees and certifications, and earned my successful career as a senior computer technician, in particular, at a major financial institution of America almost 30 years, and to which I earned the recognition of being a Nerdie.

I worked as a senior software analyst for a major communications firm for 30 years. I never got a degree in computers. One thing I learned is you don't need a degree to succeed in I.T. Some of the smartest, most talented people I worked with didn't have degrees.

Right from Trump himself. Looking for MONEY from his dumbass supporters!
