Are you that stupid? Having the power to fire a department head is not running it. Overseeing day to day operations. making plans and keeping tabs on running it. Playing golf while living far away is not running it. Having authority over it is not running it. You must know better. It is so simple and clear.

Still can't confess to playing around, can you? Do you understand being removed from the operation does not require distance? However, federal agencies are all over the country and all over the world. He can tweet and fire a department head if they do not say what he wants. Are you dumb enough or dishonest enough to claim that is running a department? He hasn't a clue what is going on in the agencies.
There are 430 government agencies and 2.1 million employees. Trump is a fabulous manager, I guess. I guarantee most of them spend no time thinking about Trump, the great and all powerful Oz.
Whata president does is nominate people to run the agencies. He does not run them. And the Senate votes to approve them. So by your logic, the Senate runs the agencies.

I described clearly why a president is a figurehead because it is impossible to actually run an organization with over 2 million employees. They are divided into hundreds of separate divisions that run with essentially zero communication with Trump or his upper echelon. That is too hard for you to comprehend.

I suppose when J.K. Galbraith said even within a corporation the CEO is a figurehead would escape your limited abilities. He called them ratifiers. The real decisions are made by the staff and workers. By the time it gets to the top desk, the data has determined the decision. Even in a corp, the big boss does not run the company.
Running an organization means you have to be involved in the day to day decisions. The bigger an organization is, the less involved a top boss is them. In the biggest organization in the world, the president is far from running it.

I would like to see some. Trump is a mess. He has nothing but the worst people heading agencies. They would be laughed out if a Dem tried to install those clowns. He is effective in pushing the plutocracy along. He has cranked up the debt like every Red since Reagan has done. I suppose that is effective.
