Holiday Blizzard: More Signs of Global Warming

It's become as much a winter tradition as eggnog at Christmas and champagne on New Year's Eve — the first major snowstorm of the year bringing out the climate-change skeptics. And the bona fide blizzard that has frozen much of the Northeast just a few days after winter officially began definitely qualifies as major. But while piles of snow blocking your driveway hardly conjure images of a dangerously warming world, it doesn't mean that climate change is a myth. The World Meteorological Organization recently reported that 2010 is almost certainly going to be one of the three warmest years on record, while 2001 to 2010 is already the hottest decade in recorded history. Indeed, according to some scientists, all of these events may actually be connected.

I don't see an end to snowstorms there, nor do I see anyone putting a timeframe on it that included 2010.

You're forgetting the talking points, tinny; the globe IS warming...it's just that man isn't causing it. Don't get all confused in your zeal on this.....
 
Global warming means hot summers and cold winters. People need to stop calling it global warming and start calling it climate change. Hotter springs/summers are suppose to be more dangerous then colder falls/winters.
 
I think it's really funny that warmers play dumb like they never warned that winters would be warmer and there would be less icepack and cause droughts, shortages, etc..

After studying the provided data; I predict that the coming ice age will create extreme cooling, in the Northern Hemisphere, and a slight increase in the Southern Hemisphere.

You can't argue the truth. No matter how you want to ignore it or claim that they never made claims that winters would be warmer, the record is easily recounted and compared with your reality.

"Snowstorms a thing of the past" - that's the line I was questioning, tinny. Which A) implies today, now, 2010 and B) says flat-out SNOWSTORMS, and an end to them. Not "winters will be warmer".

I feel so bad that you rushed around for all of those links, only to look like a fool. You really have my sympathies on this one.
