Soon. I am not predicting a specific date. I'm certain that the republicans will elect somebody and begin to annoy me by spending more borrowed money in places other than the United States for uncertain goals making the "they gotta do something" crowd happier than pigs rolling in dookey but making folks that understand that borrowing more money that doesn't exist to add to the supply of money will only increase our inflation problem quite annoyed.

For now, I'm relatively happy with the rate of "business" being done in Congress. I know you may not be, and that's your thing...

One thing I know, a republican will be Speaker, and relatively soon.

I try to make it a habit to carefully select my words when saying something like this. And to be truthful I didn't think soon would last quite this long either. Your Florida Congressman pretty much had no plan on what to do after the role was vacated, he just wanted to make a splash and get on the stage thinking it would help his run for Governor. Hopefully folks in Florida remember it, he seems like he'd make a terrible Governor, no sense of basic project planning in that brain of his...

I made no such claim.

I said this: Once there is a Speaker, who will be republican, they will spend money we do not have on things that are not here without a defined goal. I stated I would not like it. None of that is what you pretend I "claimed" in the post you quoted. That's just your own inanity. Neither of the two major parties are fiscally sane.

I voted for him. I think he would be a good governor again. He was a Republican. I know him a little, very good guy.
