House convenes for Jim Jordan’s third attempt to win speaker vote

I said a large part. Not ALL of the blame. Gaetz isn't popular with me either. BidenDementiapResident put the whole blame on the Republicans when 96% of them voted for McCarthy and 100% of the Democrats voted against him.

Why would you expect Dems to vote for a MAGAt like McCarthy? You guys won't put up a reasonable repug because you think they're RINOs. We don't want a trump butt-kisser. We're not going to support McCarthy or the traitorous Gym Jordan no matter how much blame you try to assign to us.

If 5 or 6 Democrats had voted for McCarthy instead of stabbing him in the back for working with them he would still be Speaker. But that is too much to ask from Democrats.

The democrat Reich goosesteps in lockstep. What the rulers dictate, ALL Reich members do, without question.

You Stalinists are hilarious. Acting like the Speaker of the House is some critical role. Trying to take the focus off of the incompetent moron who is the Chief Executive and in charge of international affairs.

Third in line for the presidency, jackwagon. We'd never support that scum Jordan for the position.

shut up you worthless troll

Yep Democrats are in large part responsible for this mess. McCarthy negotiated with them and they stabbed him in the back. Assholes.

By "negotiated" you mean he offered them NOTHING. Not one single concession, right? Because that is what is true and accurate.

Also it is not only NOT the Dems job to save the republi'can' leader when he loses the support from his own majority, it is simply something that is NOT done, ever.

If the republi'cans' thru their Impeachment Inquiry were to shake enough Dem support that Biden could be impeached, no one would expect the Republi'cans' in bipartisan support to jump in and prop him up, when his own party would not. It is just stupidity to suggest otherwise. Why would any party run an Impeachment if they thought, if successful, they would provide the votes to prop him up, in the name of Bipartisanship?

If any Leader loses the confidence of his own caucus and party such that they will not give him the vote to lead, then expecting the opposition (OPPOSITION) to do it, is just stupidity.

It is best if you don't kick someone in the nuts repeatedly when you need their help.

I think I'd rather have McCarthy than Jordan. Eh, maybe not. It's like deciding between a Stroke or a Heart Attack.

While i agree they are both a disaster, McCarthy at least had some competing loyalties.

MCCarthy has been the face of the parties biggest donors, much like Pelosi was for the Dems. They gave him a ton of money, he then would spread around to other Republi'cans' to help them get elected. Those donors, do NOT want an economic shut down or any of the things the extreme Trump Derps would do, to damage the country, in the hopes people in despair will vote to change the gov't and kick Biden out.

Jordan is only loyal to Trump, which means he would gladly crash the debt ceiling and gladly shut down gov't, without a care of how it might impact the big donors.

The big donors are mostly not looking to destroy America, as Trump and his supporters are, as that is not good for business.

That is ultimately why Trump wanted McCarthy gone, as he knew in the end, he had competing loyalties which is something Trump will never tolerate.

Trump endorsed Jordan. Trump is not winning a lot lately.

Jordan is losing more and more votes every time, McCarthy kept going because he was gaining.

100% of Democrats voted for Democrats? Oh my?

Can you think of any time that Republicans have voted for a Democrat as Speaker of the House?
