How about a little Black Community Reform?

All we hear from the media and leftist celebrities is POLICE REFORM!

But mayybe, just mayybe, if we had a little reform in the black community, we wouldn't have so many instances of police interaction and thus less bad interactions.

First and foremost, the BC needs to stop having kids out of wedlock. 77% are born out of wedlock. Fatherless households is the single greatest problem, not only int he BC but in ALL communities!

The destruction of the family, done by the left, is what is seriously hurting the black community. Without a father at home to help keep adolescent teens in line, off drugs, in school, and out of gangs, they have little chance.

Statistics prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt. Kids that come from 2 parent homes, succeed exponentially better than kids with fatherless homes.

Black men make up something like 6% of the population, but account for 41% of all homicides. This can be traced back to the out of wedlock/fatherless homes.

How did we get here? Back in 1965 the Johnson administration (DEMOCRAT) start massive welfare programs know as the "great society." They had the exact opposite effect. They completely destroyed the family structure, especially in the black community. They basically traded out the father, for the govt. And the govt is a TERRIBLE dad.

Yes the govt can buy you groceries and get you HC for your kids, but it is lousy at teaching children discipline, moral values, civic duties, history of the US, respect for authority, etc.

This creates a vicious cycle repeated by generation after generation. Leads to many black youth in gangs, out of schools, and in prisons.

How does the black community escape? Stop having kids out of wedlock. No kids until you are married with a stable job and income. This alone would fix about 80% of problems.

Next would be welfare reforms so people aren't dependent on gov, and having their lives ruined.

I will be called a racist by JPP leftists, but its an irony, because I am actually trying to help the black community. The left is trying to make excuses and manufacture crises and problems that don't exist. All so they can keep blacks down, and voting for their phony socialist solutions.

Did you read JD Vance's Hillbilly Elegy by chance? He basically wrote about what's wrong with the Appalachian whites and why have they had generational poverty etc. Not being from the area or knowing anyone who lives there it was eye opening to me. But it mirrors what you are asking, what is in the culture that keeps these folks the way they are so to speak.

APPALACHIAN WHITES ARE NOT GUNNING THEMSLEVES DOWN EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK, ARE THEY?

We spend gazillions on a defense budget that is based on an outdated strategy, and education gets the scraps.

Our national priorities - as expressed by budgetary allocations - need a serious reexamination.

I have not read the book.

People used to abandon mining ghost towns. Now the gov't pays them if they stay. There is no incentive to leave and get a job somewhere else.

Bullshit.

Baltimore city spends more per student than almost any other city. 13 Baltimore city high schools had ZERO students proficient in math. But you can't fire any of the teachers because of the gov't Union.

Fucking whtie libs don't give a fuck about our Black children. :barf:

It was a hell of a book. The author is a Republican and he grew up in poverty there and spoke about his experiences and what he saw. So it's not a diversion from speaking about the black community rather it's an example of the same discussion being had in an area of white poverty.

Is this supposed to be a whataboutism post?

This community isn't out rioting and demanding defunding of police, because they disproportionately have interactions with them.

So, you're comparing a bad budget to other bad budgets? In some districts, teachers have to buy some of their own supplies.

Like policing, we need to do an overhaul of how we approach education. Also like policing, I would agree that unions can get in the way rather than help at times.

What we're doing isn't working. That's why we elect people - to fix things that aren't working. If they don't fix those things, we need to elect other people.

Defense is out of date? We have China and Russia, NK/IRAN constantly at our throats. Cutting defense would allow China and Russia to expand their empires. We are the only thing containing them.

Throwing more money at education isn't the problem. Holding teachers accountable and getting rid of public unions is.

School of choice has been a major success. As well as charter schools.

No, Baltimore city is ranked 3rd in the nation for highest spending per student.

The inner cities have been electing progressive politicians for 50 years. WTF?

As Malcom X said, the White lib is the most dangerous, the most deceitful, the most heinous. :barf:

Not at all. Like I said, it's about the discussion you're saying needs to be had just for a different group.

The definition of insanity. Trying the same thing over and over again.

So what was the author's conclusion?
