How did "Malaria The Movie" perform against other well known documentary films?

'Malaria The Movie' was completely outperformed at the box office by documentaries about penguins, global warming, orphaned orangutans, and school shootings. :palm:

Documentary Film$ Gross adjusted to 2026 dollars
March of the Penguins$221 million
Bowling for Columbine$104 million
An Inconvenient Truth$80 million
Born to be Wild$68 million
Malaria, The Movie$17 million
Correction: 'Malaria the Movie' is not even going to hit the $17 million threshold in gross ticket sales. It's going whimper to a close of about $16.6 million in gross ticket sales.

Al Gore's documentary on global warming grossed almost 5X as much $ as the Malaria documentary (on an inflation adjusted basis).

A 2005 documentary about penguins grossed more than 13X the $ as the documentary on Malaria.

This was never about profit. This was about bribing the Pedo President for lucrative government contracts.

The Trump administration is the most corrupt in the history of all JPP members.

Another example of leftists self pleasuring in public. Filthy bastards
LEAVE TRUMP ALONE!!!!

And with that the magat and Trump focus will switch to pressuring for this craptastic movie to get an Oscar or other awards.

You can pin this and bump it when they do. :ROFLMAO:

I doubt they could afford the movie ticket or have Prime.
They are complaining a concert ticket costs $75, I suppose they would have trouble paying a $16 movie ticket plus a $2.50 "convenience fee." The first time I saw a "convenience fee" on a movie ticket I was so angry, but now I am an "A Lister" at AMC, so no "convenience fees." $2.50 is not much, but it is the principle. They are charging us money beyond the cost to buy from them.

I haven't gone to theater in years in favor of a large screen tv, soundbar and multiple streaming services. All movies in the theaters today will be out on streaming in 6-12 months....or, if they're bombs like Melania, 6 weeks. LOL

Another option which I've never used is to "rent" a movie on streaming. There's plenty to watch until the movie in question is available on the regular streaming service.

I am a dinosaur who still likes going to movies in theaters. Besides, you can drink before the movie(not to much, but a little), go to the movie, and be sober to drive home after the movie

Considering the film cost $75 million and only grossed $17 million at the box office, this is probably the biggest money-loser in the history of documentary films.
Your numbers are fucked; Michael Moore's bullshit grossed $ 58 million , not $104....and that's just them first one I checked.

I can safely assume you are posting madeup bullshit across the board, per usual.

"Melania" is killing it on Amazon livestream, which is how most Americans (etal) see films.

Choke on it.

At a cost of $4M in 2002. That's $54M profit....in 2002. Adjusted for inflation due to Trump's economy, that's $105M.
