There’s another thread here bitching about what’s going on in Texas with truck inspections coming up from Mexico courtesy of governor Abbot.

And what would a socialism thread be without mentioning that demented turd sandwich in the White House right now? Why would anyone kill the hunt for dead dinosaurs and shut down transportation of said dead dinosaurs from our friends to the north? In the middle of the recovery from a pandemic?

What’s the common thread here? All of these things were conceived for the same reasons: either to force behavioral change or express displeasure at a policy. Socialists love to force behavioral change. Anti-socialists like Abbot and DeSantis will look at that shit and say “oh yeah? Well, here’s a little socialist authoritarianism right back at ya, how you like them apples?”. Their only purpose is to express displeasure at a policy and make life a little more difficult for the socialists.

At the very least, try to remember what happened in Virginia.

It is socialism when elected officials make social decisions for free under our form of social Government?

Taking a way private enterprises rights and self governance is an element of Socialism.

When a Governor punishes you for not supporting one of his policies or his politics in general, that is fascism.

So would it be fair to say that The Walt Disney Company is the government in the Disney managed land footprint ?
Would thins not be the same as government owning the means of production ?

giving special privileges to one business that are not available to others is not a right of private enterprise.....and it is the opposite of self governance.....it is privileged governance...........taking it away is not fascism......it is common sense......

I dont know what does Socialism mean in details but I can say Capitalism is the biggest/largest crime in the World and is the mother of all crimes. Theft for example is a Capitalist desire and also an action triggered by Capitalism, wars are the result of Capitalist desires, so are many murders and injuries, scams, many (if not all) other crimes, the result of selfish Capitalist desires. If the Socialism means sharing facilities/resources you have more than you need with other people, its a perfect thing, poor people always object to Socialism more than rich people because they think they will lose the few things they already have, they dont take into account that the rich will also give them. Abusing Socialism in the wrong hands does not mean that all its rules are wrong. As far as I followed from the media the supporters of Socialism implemented in the World were Capitalists, like as Socialism in Russian and in China. Like the abused Democracy, in the wrong hands they become tools that serve only Capitalists selfish dictatorships. A Socialism that ceased to be the hand puppet of the Capitalists would have been very useful.
