The bigger question is why does it bother you (other than another thing to bitch about)?

My Christian indoctrination taught us that Good Friday was a very solemn day where you reflected on the passion and death of Christ. It was not happy. The happy came in the resurrection of Jesus and the promise of forgiveness and eternal life.
