LOL. Yeah, she is kind of stuck back in the fogey-days where lady was an insult and equality meant never acting like a man.

No, equality means never acting like an idiot -- without getting called on it, anyway. Some people seem to think that acting like a man requires acting like an idiot, but that's their problem.

Come to think of it, I know quite a few women who think that acting like a man requires acting like an idiot from time to time. That should tell you something right there.



It's probably just my ultra-liberal background speaking but I totally get the objection to "lady" as a label. It really is kind of condescending, or so it seems to me. Even today I rarely use it, just like I rarely use "chick" . . . or "bitch" for that matter.
