How the Electoral College Could Tilt Further From Democrats

Classical Liberal
In the next decade, the Electoral College will tilt significantly away from Democrats.

Deeply conservative Texas and Florida could gain a total of five congressional seats, and the red states of Utahand Idaho are each expected to add a seat.
Those gains will come at the expense of major Democratic states like New York and California, according to a New York Times analysis of population projections by Esri, a nonpartisan company.

The Democratic Party already faces acute challenges after its disastrous losses in 2024, including fundraising woes, an electorate that slid decidedly to the right, a vacuum of leadership and a sharp decline in voter registrations.

Red states are growing fast, and blue states aren’t keeping up

Rapid growth in Southern and Western red states is driving the changes to the political map, according to The Times’s analysis. Texas and Florida are each expected to gain millions of residents in the coming years, expanding each state’s population by nearly 13 percent, according to Esri.

The bad news for dims just keeps coming.

The Dems will respond in kind. This is a terrible thing Trump started.
But there won’t be enough of them to have any effect. Not only are blue states losing population and red states gaining, republicans have increased voter registration 3 to 1 over Dems. More and more are registering independent with Dems losing over twice as many to becoming independents than republicans.

You fuckers better find a way to be more moderate, because between the two extremes of right and left that we have now, the right is winning, and overwhelmingly.
And that’s now. All indications are that the near future of Dems is not good.
It reminds me of the fallout after Jimmah.
Eight years of Reagan, four of Bush sr., Clinton attempted being hard left for two years then was forced to embrace Republican ideals the next six.
What saved the Dems for a while was the disastrous regime of Bush jr.

The whole problem is Trump's and Texas's. They caused it. You do not know how many states will use the same strategy. Trump did not do this because he is winning. He did it because he knew he was in trouble for the midterms.

It's never your fault is it? Leftists are like 3 year old children.

You seriously can't distinguish the electoral college from redistricting?
They caused it.
You're seriously unaware of all the gerrymandering that Democrats have ALREADY DONE over the DECADES?

California, Illinois, New Mexico, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, etc etc ... Democrats are already mostly tapped out, dude.
You do not know how many states will use the same strategy.
I don't, but I DO know that there's A LOT more so-called "red states" than so-called “blue states”, and that the “blue states” have already squeezed about as much water out of the gerrymandering stone as they possibly can (while the “red states” haven’t done so, therefore this is a war that Democrats would LOSE if Republicans would simply grow a pair of balls and fight it to the bloody end.
Trump did not do this because he is winning.
Trump is encouraging this for election integrity purposes and for WINNING purposes. Trump likes to win. I like to win. I like Trump.
He did it because he knew he was in trouble for the midterms.
:rofl2:

Trump's cheating is forcing the Dems to react in kind. Note, if you can, who started this. Trump asked Texas to illegally, unethically, and immorally redistrict to find him 5 more seats. They did . Trump did that because the Reds know they will be clobbered in the midterms. So Trump decided to cheat.
