The last thing this country and the world needs, is Trump or Trumpian like person as president?!! Not only would our democracy in this country be at stake, but America's leadership role in the world too?!! "America First" was a phrase used by the Ku Klux Klan at its peak in the 1920s, where racist, xenophobic sentiment was widespread.


 
Don't need an analysis to answer that question, any way he can imagine, he knows regardless of what it is, a third of the nation will back him and an entire political party and major news network will defend him, nothing is out of the question, absolutely nothing

It doesn't appear that anyone has the principles and integrity to actually do the deed. Sadly. The final straw for me was the news that the committee is split on a criminal referral. If there is evidence of a crime, a criminal referral should be made. But I don't think it's happening. Everyone wants someone else to do the dirty work. Everyone is waiting for someone else to pull the trigger. And we get nothing. It's sad.

That is not as hard to do as some might think. Damn near happened in 2020. And that is what the GOP will be aiming for.

The House will switch between Democratic and Republican control...but the number of states that are dominated by Republicans will continue to remain favoring the Republicans. And the vote, if the election is thrown into the House, will be decided mostly by the number of states dominated by Republicans versus the number dominated by Democrats...NOT BY THE TOTAL COMPOSITION OF THE HOUSE.

Exactly. And all that takes is a contested election in a few states, so no one has enough electoral votes. This is the plan. It will take very little for Republicans to pull it off. The failure to pass a Voting Rights Act is the biggest failure of this administration. And the end of the day, nothing else matters if we don't have free and fair elections. Republicans have already figured out how to be overrepresented by gerrymandering. And there is no one willing to stop this. I saw that the Michigan legislature is 72% Republican even though Democrats had more votes. It will be the same for the US Senate and the House. We are on the brink.

Most on committee think a crime was committed. But "referral" is something you or I could do.

It is common practice for House investigations to end in a criminal referral. Republicans use the power like a cudgel. Lois Lerner? Christopher Steele? Rand Paul wants a criminal referral of Fauci. Now, when a serious crime has been committed, Democrats are worried about appearances? Fuck that. Just sayin'

Because the country never experienced a value void totalitarian who has the full support of a third of the country and a political party that will support him regardless of what he does
