June 24 2025 Ex-Biden official Neera Tanden admitted under oath to the House Oversight Committee during a closed-door testimony on Tuesday that she controlled Joe Biden’s autopen.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer recently identified five Biden aides who were involved in the cover-up of Joe Biden’s mental decline and autopen scandal.

Director of Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden was brought before the Committee on Tuesday and admitted she was authorized to use Joe Biden’s autopen between October 2021 to May 2023.
According to the Washington Examiner, Neera Tanden testified that she was also authorized to direct the autopen, however, she denied manipulation or abuse.

Not exactly. What she told Congress is she would send a memo up to Biden's inner circle for permission and it would come back approved by "someone." That means she was following her normal process but didn't know if Biden himself was in the loop or not. This points the finger at the inner circle.

Now, whether that's a dodge ("I was just following orders...") or not is somewhat open to question, but definitely is saying that Biden wasn't in the loop here. That opens a big can of worms.
 
I'll admit I thought this was a long shot.

I mean if you're not going to bribe the guy with ice cream to sign things he doesn't read or understand what even was the point?

Legally hearing a rumor that a person agrees and then forging a signature is not signing. I think the courts would accept any number of intermediate steps using automatic technology but they won't (and shouldn't) accept 1 or more human beings as relays, it literally defeats the purpose of the ritual which was always to be sure that THE PERSON consented as opposed to hearsay.
