That's correct. Comer refuses to allow Biden to appear before the entire House Oversight Committee, if it is going to be a PUBLIC hearing. That happens to be the exact thing that Biden's attorney is offering.

Let's not forget that Comer was caught running shady business deals with his brother, and was challenged on the Committee floor to testify. Comer, backed into a corner, agreed to testify if Biden does. Now that Biden is demanding a public hearing, Comer has tucked his tail between his legs.

Actually, a public hearing has been suggested after the closed door deposition... Apparently Bagman's liars... err, lawyers... don't want that. They want only a dog and pony show in public.
