I once wrote a novel (for a class, fergawdssakes, AP Creative Writing) where rebirth was backwards in time... I thought I was being clever and stuff. I had to submit it to a publisher, it was, of course, rejected. This idea that you are reborn in the future every time seems wack to me.Using your reasoning...you would soon go back to a number greater than the number of people who lived at that time.
30 to 35 generations (less than 1000 years) would yield a number greater than the number of people alive on the planet back then.
Obviously using that method has serious faults because of the overlaps that would happen.
