This douchebag compared Sarah Palin to Michael Vick because she shot and killed a Caribou. She went hunting. So the fuck what? Why do I hate Sorkin? Because he makes me defend Sarah Palin. I don't agree with Palin's EVERY view on hunting. She believes it is ok to shoot wolves from a helicopter which is for pussy yuppie hunters that don't have the chutzpa to go out and hunt on the ground. There is really no reason at all to hunt Wolves but Alaska allows it and they don't appear to have a shortage of Wolves. All I have to say is get on the ground and hunt you pussies.

But Aaron Sorkin, you sir are a giant douchebag. Hunting is not the equivalent of dog fighting. Why is it that lefties can't just go after her for her policies? Why do they have to say stupid shit that causes normal everyday middle of the road people to feel like they are attacking her JUST to attack her? I hunt. I like to eat venison, I love Elk, duck, goose and quail. Deer and Elk I hunt with a bow, the other 3 with a gun. I have had to track a Elk with one of my arrows in it for miles before. I imagine it sucked for the animal running around and bleeding to death. I wish my arrow had killed it quicker, but it was not the equivalent of what Michael Vick did. (Which by the way, HE has paid his due). Now I have to go shower to wash off this feeling of defending Sarah Palin.
 
Haha, I read his comments yesterday. I understand not liking someone but I had the same response, 'you are going after her for this'? It felt like so much more of a personal attack.

I'm not a hunter and I don't think hunting is in akin to dog-fighting but I don't necessarily view it as douchebaggery for someone to take the position that there is no meaningful distinction between different actions that necessarily result in the infliction of pain on and killing of animals. Not my personal view, but I understand the argument. Of course, Mr. Sorkin may very well be a hypocrite and a fraud on this particular score, I don't know.

OK, I read it....it was long...really long...and I didn't agree with any of it. Besides I use a different really long book as my standard of morality and it says that eating animals is OK. Not eating them is OK. I trust it more and like that standard better. :)

There is never fair in the food chain. I started to watch a show on the WILD channel about predatory animals and it was so violent that I had to turn it off, I didn't want it to disturb the four year old. She loves animal shows, but this one was like PG-13, just a little too realistic.
Animals have to eat, we evolved into being one of the predators.

That's life and I love a good steak!

I didn't say whether it was right or wrong or in line with the Bible. I just said it was interesting, which I think it is. Then again, I'm a big fan of David Foster Wallace generally but I recognize that not everyone is.
