Trump is the wannabe dictator he tried to be in his first term though, only to be stymied by a determined Senate and specifically MIke Pence, who made sure they certified the Election within the Constitutional mandated time frame.

That is not a good reply though when Trump fomented a Brooks Brother type situation to disrupt the count, which worked in Florida to throw that election from Gore to Bush Jr, but only did not work for Trump because Pence and the Senate were determined to not allow it to happen.

Trump came dangerously close to again throwing it to SC that is biased heavily towards him, with that SC almost certainly saying 'it is not our job to get involved in the politics of what happened or why you are here. The Constitution has singular demanded remedy when the Senate cannot certify a winner and that is the House must now hold a Contingent Election to determine who will be the next POTUS.'

I see no other path for the SC had Trump succeeded and Mike Pence refused to certify for any reason. The SC is not going to say 'MIke why do you believe there is fraud and why did you not certify... we do not believe you... so prove it to us' when they are not a court of inquiry. They DO NOT render findings in that way and they do not interfere in the Legislative branch ability to do its Constitutional role within the Separation of powers as long as lower case has not been brought with a finding 'they are breaking the law or the Constitution' first.

JD Vance has already stated in that type of situation where Trump is baselessly crying 'fraud... do not certify' that he WOULD NOT certify.
