I won't list all of the negatives that surround Trump, but I could, and it would take all night to write it out, so I'll keep it short and profound, but I keep wondering why do people support him?

He lies on a scale we've never seen in Politics and that's saying something. That's not debatable, it's not rhetoric and it's not over-dramatized.

One of his main goals as president is to overturn the ACA which will throw millions of people off of the Insurance rolls and will increase prescription, health visit costs, et al for people over 65 on Medicare. This will also return to poor people using the emergency room for regular Dr visits and the people who have insurance facing even steeper premiums to cover the costs, Which is odd since the Republicans took a beating in the Mid-terms primarily in the issue of Health Care and Insurance. I know people who will be directly and negatively affected by this, but still support him.

He shows more allegiance to our enemies than our allies and our own citizens.

No matter how I look at it, I can only come up with 5 reasons why people support him.

1, they're star struck, Seeing a celebrity who has flaunted a life of privilege appeals to them on a scale that they're willing to ignore his negatives.

2, they're racists who buy into the Muslim ban, the wall on the Mexican border and the rhetoric about police being rough when arresting gang members.

3, they're so angry about 8 years of Obama, they'll support him in the face of anything, including the things I listed above, just to spite the Democrats.

4, they're offended by the people who identify as LGBQT and the off-shoot groups of NB, GQ, GF, et all who primarily align with the left and have taken the spotlight, leaving these Trump people disregarded by today's culture.*

Just a note, I have issues with those off-shoot groups, but not enough to turn my back on my country.

5, they actually believe everything he says. Which is terrifying

I think #3 is the main one. And Obama's looking downright moderate compared to the newer generation of dems.
I was no supporter of Trump in '16, in fact I considered him to be the 3rd worst candidate of all of them.
Today I am a supporterof his because the actions of the deep state, the leftist fake media and dem politicians over the last 2+ yrs have forced me to make a choice, and I did.

I googled "democrats in the wilderness" recently and it came up with this article.
Maybe you should read it because it talks about things you don't consider in your OP.
Then you may still not get it but should have a better understanding.

Have you tried breathing into a paper sack? I hear that's effective for hyperventilation.

In my own case, it's because your "negatives" involve a host of speech and thought-policing and dire predictions of the future that never seem to come true. In other words most of it is born of fantasy and propaganda. Your politically-correct orthodoxy needs to end, and Trump is the domino that sent the rest of the dominos falling.

So you have walked through the mirror into Wonderland. There is no deep state. Obama took the country out of a potential second great depression. He saved the economy, made an Iran Nuke treaty that kept them from trying for nukes for more than 10 years. He had great relations with Europe and NATO. He did not establish tariffs and other ridiculous Trumpian mistakes.
The nasty left media, that only looks that way from a deep right wing bunker, made Trump president with their complete coverage of every damn stupid rally he had.
How anyone with firing neurons could watch Trump bumblefuck his way through the last 2 years and like it, says so much about them. Trump is a bad president and a terrible human being.

Me too.

Why did Ann Coulter support him? ("In Trump We Trust" lol). She acknowledged he's a freak. But I think she really believed he was going to reverse demography and stop America turning into what she would regard as a mongrel nation. Now she's not so sure he can do it.

Then there are evangelicals, many of whom can see what he is, but support him because of special issues - abortion, SC judges - which are overwhelmingly important to them. If you wanted to be dramatic you could say they sold their souls to the Prince of Lies. Sad.

With many others it's a case of "anyone but Hillary". They've been bombarded with anti-Hillary propaganda for decades and swallowed the lot. The guy who is likely to lose out from Trump's healthcare "reforms" but still supports him is probably one of them.

Op .... You missed the number one reason that Trump became President ....

YOU PICKED HILLARY !!!!!!

Yeah a woman lawyer who was a senator and a Secretary of State. And Trump a low level con man who spend daddys money. I had no truouble making that decision.I would pick her over that idiot anytime.

Of course "special issues" are important and they didn't sell "their souls to the Prince of Lies." When a candidate calls us deplorables and the soon to be past president says we "cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," what do you expect?

Well, we ain't deplorables and we don't have apathy toward immigrants. Hillary thought it was a joke when questioned about her wiping her email server with a cloth when SOS and her stance on the SC decision on Heller were two more things that pissed us rural folks off. Add to that the picking of SC justices, Hillary was not an option.

It's silly of liberals to say we "worship" Trump, just as some say liberals worshiped Obama. We just prefer some of Trump's policies over those that Clinton would have tried to implement. Simple as that.

Well, we ain't deplorables

There there, Robo, I didn't say you were deplorable. For all I know you're a rich xenophobe who thinks it's perfectly appropriate for a great nation to be run for a few years by a clueless, lying asshole, in which case you made the right choice - well done!

Please show me one fucking thing that's politically correct about me, unless reminding other right wing nuts what pathetic turds they are, and ego-bruising you is considered PC....

I didn't say you said it, and I ain't rich. Well, the choice was one clueless, lying asshole or the other. I did make the right choice, based on policy.

People probably support Trump because he’s not Hillary Clinton and he’s doing one hell of a job on the leftist media scum bags that have slandered and trashed him from the day he came down that escalator. I think most folks like the under dog and after watching the leftist media propagandize and try to drown him in their political trash barrel of negativism and at the same time swoon over the felonious Hillary Clinton, it’s just automatic to root for The Donald. When the mob attacks the wrong person and they get as good or better than they give out, there’s no red blooded American that can’t cheer for that!

He lies on a scale we've never seen in Politics and that's saying something. That's not debatable, it's not rhetoric and it's not over-dramatized.

Well, since I’m not a partisan hack and I hate political parties, I get a much clearer eyed view of all politicians. What I see here with Trump is the majority of what the left call lies are simply exaggerations and embellishments based in a degree of truth. Trump tells no more major lies than most politicians, he simply has a gravitation to exaggerations and embellishments, i.e. White lies.

One of his main goals as president is to overturn the ACA which will throw millions of people off of the Insurance rolls and will increase prescription, health visit costs, et al for people over 65 on Medicare.[ This will also return to poor people using the emergency room for regular Dr visits and the people who have insurance facing even steeper premiums to cover the costs, Which is odd since the Republicans took a beating in the Mid-terms primarily in the issue of Health Care and Insurance. While you do make a case for people who can’t afford health insurance by no fault of their own, you also make the same case for the folks that can’t afford health insurance purely because of themselves. You make a case for the leftist created “victims” of “whitey.” The leftist created victims of the plantation ideology, the social maggots that just don’t want to work and earn, the leftist created victims that actually believe that government and other folks money owes them a living and health insurance.

And while you’re spouting all of that you ignore the millions of people that lost their private paid healthcare or had their premiums jacked up because of Obamacare’s open invitation to insurance companies to jack up the rates beyond their afford-ability because of the Obamacare regulations for what healthcare insurance policies MUST cover. Those were and are the same folk that had part of their insurance coverage paid by their employer, cost went up for small employers and the people that worked for them. Seniors with Advantage Medicare insurance saw new and higher deductibles and co-pays. That some seniors couldn’t afford and they lost their advantage coverage and was left with nothing but Medicare that some doctors refuse to accept.

While you only see the leftist side of everything, their vote buying schemes and “victim” propaganda, I see all sides of every issue. Healthcare and healthcare insurance has absolutely no constitutional authority for the feds to be involved in to begin with, (see amendment 10). Health insurance regulation is the authority of the States and the people.

I won't list all of the negatives that surround Trump, but I could, and it would take all night to write it out, so I'll keep it short and profound, but I keep wondering why do people support him?

He shows more allegiance to our enemies than our allies and our own citizens.

That’s simply an unfounded accusation! Present some evidence please!

No matter how I look at it, I can only come up with 5 reasons why people support him.

1, they're star struck, Seeing a celebrity who has flaunted a life of privilege appeals to them on a scale that they're willing to ignore his negatives.

I see it just the opposite! I see a gang of leftist media propagandist and their brainwashed loyal followers with their hair on fire incapable and totally unwilling to accept that Trump beat the crap out of their felonious incompetent Madam Hillary, that incompetent, self appointed self entitled elitist bitch that should be in the slammer!

2, they're racists who buy into the Muslim ban, the wall on the Mexican border and the rhetoric about police being rough when arresting gang members.

What “Muslim” ban? There are Muslims in the Congress, and every state in America. Where has Trump banned “Muslims?” Trump has banned by his constitutional authority People coming to America from other countries that support and promote terrorism and cannot be reasonably vetted. There’s no such thing as a “Muslim” ban.

3, they're so angry about 8 years of Obama, they'll support him in the face of anything, including the things I listed above, just to spite the Democrats.

I think they for the most part have little to no afterthoughts about Obama except that he’s finally gone.

4, they're offended by the people who identify as LGBQT and the off-shoot groups of NB, GQ, GF, et all who primarily align with the left and have taken the spotlight, leaving these Trump people disregarded by today's culture.*

I think you’re right here finally. I think they have damned good reason for their disgust over the new leftist sexual deviate religion and it’s endless flaunting as America’s new and accepted norm. I don’t believe it is an American norm. I think it’s a fringe being exploited by the left as just another “victim” who’s vote they’re courting.

Just a note, I have issues with those off-shoot groups, but not enough to turn my back on my country.

Well, I think every leftist has turned their back on their country every day they remainin lock step with the leftist propaganda and Trump hate syndrome

5, they actually believe everything he says. Which is terrifying

I personally don’t believe much of anything any politician or Donald Trump says. What they say is irrelevant as compared to what they do. I didn’t vote for Trump, but I like most, but not all of what he’s done and is attempting to do. He’s a novelty. He’s totally politically incorrect, I like that. He stands his ground with the leftist fake news media, “the enemy of America.” I agree with that. He’s novel because he’s a new kind of politician that actually keeps his promises. I love his deregulating policy. I like his lowering the corporate taxe rate that makes America more competitive with the world. I love it that he trashed the Paris Agreement and the Iran unconstitutional treaty. I like his Supreme Court pcks much better than any judge the Democrats would pick. I love the fact that he stands in the face of the Europeans that don’t pay their fair share of NATO dues they promised . I like his willingness and desire to pull America out of the middle east. I like his economy, and I can easily tolerate his civil defects as long as he does things I like. BUILD THAT DAMNED WALL DONALD!!!!! Next time I might vote for you!

That’s simply an unfounded accusation! Present some evidence please!

Are you even serious? For one thing, Taking Putin's word that he did not infiltrate our election, when his own security agencies said he did and the Mueller report confirmed it - which he still hasn't addressed, btw.

You fucknuts will just never get it through your heads that we don't care that Hillary lost. I haven't met anyone that's upset about it.

And that is exactly what I was saying about the liberal special interest groups stealing the spotlight and everybody else getting pushed into the background. I might not explain it well but hopefully I do enough for you to understand and you probably do. When the only thing you ever see being focused on is gender and identity equality or somebody's lives matter or any of that kind of stuff, it can make you feel like your voice isn't being hurt when you're not part of one of those groups.

So I get that. What I don't get is the continued support for him. I would understand if those people said yeah screw you, we elected him. That's what you get and left it at that but to keep chanting the stupid slogans, lock her up then what about Hillary and what about Obama, when it's plain to see that he is a destroyer. It kills me That so many people who are being negatively affected by him, continue to support him.

I totally get that people are tired of the liberal BS that is happening in this country. People who exercise traditional values were looking for support. They have been continually lambasted for fighting against abortion, believing in actual free speech (not speech you're expected to speak), working to support those who won't (because they're lazy and don't want to), etc.

And this is where I realize how naive you are. You say "leftist fake news media" and they are definitely slanted to the left, but Fox has been recently discredited as a news source. He has not kept his promises. Where's his Health Care? The tax cuts that put 100's of billions of dollars into the pockets of the rich - which is a permanent tax cut -was barely felt by the middle class - and is NOT a permanent tax cut, so we get to pay for the whole ting in a few years. The tariffs turned out to be a tax increase, basically on ALL Americans. And then you seal your stupidity with the wall statement

Nope, that is not the translation. But you are a Trumpy, nobody expects you to understand. You could debate the facts given, but that is not how the right works. Make a nasty remark and flee, back to the safe bunker.
