Diversity Makes Greatness
I'm still getting to know the Dem candidates.

Still learning about them.

There are so many.

I have some favorites.

Bernie, Marianne Williamson, Warren, Kamala Harris

If you want my take on it, you'll have to post to this original PoliTalker thread. I refuse to be an enabler for online bullies, so I won't post to a stolen thread. I won't even read it. If you don't see me, PoliTalker, posting in this thread check the author. This might be a hijacked thread, not the original.

I know there is a big chance I'll be voting for Biden in the end.

Not my first choice. Even though he does talk a good game.

(I think he's too integral to the old politics of big money)

But no way I am missing the chance to VOTE AGAINST TRUMP.

I don't care who the nominee ends up being, I am SO voting for that person.

And I hope I am not alone.

I don't care if I have to hold my nose just like 2016, I am already determined and committed to

VOTE AGAINST TRUMP

No one believes ANYTHING that Trump says. How can you have someone like that be your Leader and Represent you?

This was the motto of many in 2004, ABB, Anyone But Bush. I remember that election being called "the most important of our generation". That was also the last Presidential election a Republican won the majority of the vote (not that that matters). Maybe anyone breathing with a D next to their name will be enough to beat Trump in 2020 but if 2004 is any indicator you better pick the right candidate.

The process will do it.

Hello cawacko,

I by no means think it is a shoe-in.

Not only will I vote against Trump, I will volunteer for the campaign of the Dem nominee.

Any Dem would be better than Trump.

I think the country is divided, although not evenly.. A minority believe & will defend anything he says, the majority believe nothing he says, not matter what he says..

Hello cawacko,

Not everyone in the country is going to agree..

Unfortunately I hear a lot of ppl saying anyone can beat trump, a can of tuna could beat him etc...

I have heard that all before & it didn't work out so good... Just sayin!!

We've encircled Iran and cut their ability to sell their chief product, oil, onto the world market. We've back out of the Agreement we made with them on the nuclear issue. We've backed them into a corner ... and now claim they want to go to War with us.

Who's REALLY starting the War here?

Are you going to derail your own thread here?? That sounds like another thread wanting to be born...:)

Yes, he's THAT bad.

Meh that’s hyperbole. I don’t intend to vote for Trump and it’s a fairly safe bet, though not certain, that Biden will win the Dem nomination and given his vastly superior experience in foreign affairs I’ll probably vote for Biden.

But let’s get real, despite the populist rhetoric geared towards the lower classes Trump has in no way proven himself as utterly incompetent as W did and though his policy accomplishments are few I’m open minded enough to judge him on the results and he could damned well be right on some of them such as trade agreements and tariffs. Time will tell.

Unlike W he’s not a clueless ideologue and a lap dog weak leader who danced to the tune of the party. In fact it’s the other way around. The GOP is dancing to his tune. So my criticism of Trump, which isn’t favorable by any means, doesn’t mean I’m going to drop my judgment and vote for Bernie Sanders or other less qualified Democrats on the extreme.

Hello Bill,

I've been on a thread-creating tear lately. Gotta seize that inspiration when it flows. But I can only address so many topics. Took me considerable time just to get caught up in the one about how conservatives hate immigrants. I seem to have sparked a popular debate with that one.

There are a thousand reasons to vote against Trump.

I am firmly committed to seeing his last day in office as soon as possible.

Hello Mott,

Trump is good for profiteers, Bernie is good for workers and the disaffected. Vermont is pretty happy with their Senator. He is a spark plug.
