I Pledge To Vote For Whomever The Dem Nominee Is Just To Get Rid Of President Trump..

Hello Bill,

I've been on a thread-creating tear lately. Gotta seize that inspiration when it flows. But I can only address so many topics. Took me considerable time just to get caught up in the one about how conservatives hate immigrants. I seem to have sparked a popular debate with that one.

There are a thousand reasons to vote against Trump.

I am firmly committed to seeing his last day in office as soon as possible.

I prefer to vote for who I want/like, regardless of their odds of winning.

I live in Calif, anyone popular enough to win the dem nom should beat him here..

Meh that’s hyperbole. I don’t intend to vote for Trump and it’s a fairly safe bet, though not certain, that Biden will win the Dem nomination and given his vastly superior experience in foreign affairs I’ll probably vote for Biden.

But let’s get real, despite the populist rhetoric geared towards the lower classes Trump has in no way proven himself as utterly incompetent as W did and though his policy accomplishments are few I’m open minded enough to judge him on the results and he could damned well be right on some of them such as trade agreements and tariffs. Time will tell.

Unlike W he’s not a clueless ideologue and a lap dog weak leader who danced to the tune of the party. In fact it’s the other way around. The GOP is dancing to his tune. So my criticism of Trump, which isn’t favorable by any means, doesn’t mean I’m going to drop my judgment and vote for Bernie Sanders or other less qualified Democrats on the extreme.

Trump talks about trade agreements. The new NAFTA is like the old one. The TPP was going to establish trade rules with Asian markets and deal China out. Trump killed it. Tariffs are poor politics and bad economics . Hard to find an economist who will back that brutal face slapping tactic.

Hello Mott,

Bernie could have beaten Trump in 2016, but I believe you are correct. The Trump infection of common sense has spread.

I don't share your optimism of Bernie. He's to far left to have national appeal. I'm a moderate Democrat and I either would have voted for Trump or stayed at home had Bernie won the nomination. Even though I think Hillary ran a strategically inept campaign I simply loved the way she made pencil dicked rednecks heads explode. She was providing almost as many laughs as Trump...and I have to admit one very positive thing about Trump. He makes me laugh my ass off with the stupid shit he says knowing damned well stupid people will eat it up. You have to admit the man has balls. LOL

Yea well...economist don't exactly have a great track record for being right either. I'll stand by being patient and judging by results.

Warren is the one. She is very bright and has a lifetime of working for the people. She is everything Trump is not.

I'm still getting to know the Dem candidates.

Still learning about them.

There are so many.

I have some favorites.

Bernie, Marianne Williamson, Warren, Kamala Harris

I know there is a big chance I'll be voting for Biden in the end.

Not my first choice. Even though he does talk a good game.

(I think he's too integral to the old politics of big money)

But no way I am missing the chance to VOTE AGAINST TRUMP.

I don't care who the nominee ends up being, I am SO voting for that person.

And I hope I am not alone.

I don't care if I have to hold my nose just like 2016, I am already determined and committed to

VOTE AGAINST TRUMP

The Orlando Sentinel agrees with you.

WE NEED FEDERAL LEVEL RANKED CHOICE VOTING!!!

The way to get it is to bring it in at the local and State level first.

Get enough States to do that and the pressure will be on the fed level to follow suit.

That's how big change happens.

Hello Gonzomin,

Trump is incompetent. he cannot even fill the government positions. He keeps nominating incompetent crooks. Like these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Donald_Trump_nominees_who_have_withdrawn
Trump has a huge part of his administration run by temps. Trump said he was going to nominate nothing but the best. Like anything else trump says, it is a lie'

He's got the highest turnover rate of all Presidents. Most people don't want to work for him. Many he selects turn him down flat. The ones who take the bait have a hard time working for him. It seems they have to compromise their ideals. If they won't break the law for him he fires them. Trump really has no respect for the law.

He's all nerve but it doesn't seem to be connected to the central processor.

Hello Gonzomin,

Warren is the one. She is very bright and has a lifetime of working for the people. She is everything Trump is not.

It's so true but she lacks charisma. She only appeals to the well informed. I love some of the things she says. She has the most policy proposals by far, and they sound GREAT. It would be totally awesome if she were elected. I'd vote for Elizabeth Warren in a heartbeat, without reservation. She'd be great.

Hello domer76,

The Orlando Sentinel agrees with you.

I am so glad to hear that:

"The Sentinel editorial board announced their endorsement of “Not Donald Trump” today ahead of his big rally tonight, saying, “There’s no point pretending we would ever recommend that readers vote for Trump. After 2½ years we’ve seen enough. Enough of the chaos, the division, the schoolyard insults, the self-aggrandizement, the corruption, and especially the lies.”

Jake Tapper asked Lafferty why they would write this non-endorsement this early in the 2020 cycle. Lafferty said given the president’s campaign relaunch in Orlando, “we thought this was as good a time as in to just go ahead and say what had been on our mind for a while, which is that we would not be able to endorse him for another term.”"

Orlando Sentinel says no way to Trump

Good morning Mott the Hoople,

Trump doesn’t bother me. I know what his game is and how he got into office. He has used time tested, tried, True and proven political rules and methods. He has mastered the methods of demagoguery straight out of Machiavelli and he’s gone after the moron vote in an over the top manner that his competitors didn’t dare and it worked. He’s cornered the market on stupid and it worked. I actually admire, in a cynical fashion, how he did it and as an executive he’s been adequate.

No, what bothers me about Trump isn’t Trump. It’s his supporters. I mean this shit is right out of Idiocracy and what’s ironic as hell is the GOP has a long and storied history of opposing such cynical demagoguery and populism to sway the mouth breather vote. Now they are the party of mouth breathers.

Still...things could be worse. Trump isn’t nearly as god awful incompetent at governing as W was.

I agree on how he did it and the dismay at his followers, but disagree on how he has handled his job. He is so inept it is a crying shame. He has destroyed decades of work in the State Department, firing people who have built up valuable relationships going back a very long time. That stuff cannot be replaced so easily.
