He went so far as to look up bars and who he thought were our neighbors, and posted them. He then claimed to be coming up here to go camping (in April lol) and was going to beat up me and my husband both with his incredible "jits" skills. I reported the doxing attempts but not the threats. Would those threats have been considered credible and actionable?

Yeah, he claimed he had tracked down your coordinates, and somehow he had convinced a group of 'friends' to trek with him to Michigan's upper peninsula to 'confront' a retired woman.

Probably. It sounds like it. I don't remember the threats I do remember working on the doxxing problem though and eventually winning.

I don't know about shooting. But someone from another forum that he pissed off years ago did reveal his real name and location and that's when he vanished from the forum.
