The complexity of the supply chain to make relatively simply things like gasoline or penicillin would mean they would be nearly impossible to make. The lack of modern medicine, and modern food supplies means we might lose 50% of the remaining people.... Making everything worse.

There would be massive loss of education. Children would be stunted by malnutrition, but also by people not talking to them.
