I predict we will have a fascist administration whether dem or GOP soon

I define a fascist administration as "An authoritarian fascist American administration would be a government that centralizes power under a single leader, suppresses dissent, undermines democratic institutions, and promotes ultranationalist or exclusionary ideologies—often using state mechanisms to enforce conformity and punish opposition."

Yes or No

Hey Jake, I don't know how old you are but could you give an (or some) example(s) of the Democratic Party issuing authoritarian or fascist actions in the last 45 years?
I can. The temporary situation that arose from the COVID pandemic. Forced isolation and the such. Those could be considered authoritarian. Temporarily.

Certain emergencies such as that public health catastrophe require extraordinary measures. The difference is that, when the emergency is over, the measures are terminated. Not so with authoritarian control.

And in this case the so called catastrophe was man made, and faked.

You're not making sense, as on one hand you agree with emergency procedures during a national medical crisis, then you condemn it because you personally don't like the length of time on which those changes took place. I found the forced innoculatons on some levels authoritarian because the science wasn't fully there.

I wasn't forced into isolation nor was I held down and forced to be vaccinated and masked. Local municipalities may have had restrictions. I saw several restaurants shutter their doors and the six-foot tape markers in the check-out line at stores, but never saw any police going after violators.

Private companies have a liability and a responsibility to protect their employees. If they want everyone to wear an oversized condom at work, that's their choice.

The military is a little different. We all gave up some of our freedom when we signed up to defend our nation. It's not a charity organization nor a jobs program. It's the first line of defense for our nation. Those who whined about being given "experimental" COVID vaccinations, the vaccine developed under Trump 45, were clearly too fucking stupid to remember the "experimental" anthrax vaccinations given to our troops when Bush the Lesser invaded Iraq.

MAGAts truly are morons and traitors. I look forward to the Civil War when most of them end up dead at the side of the road.

It's obvious. An independent, I vote much more for Dems than Pubs, so I say get off your high horse and open your eyes.

I don't want a hard AOC world any more than a Trump world.
So you can't give any concrete policies or mandates of the Dem party in the last 45 years that's authoritarian or fascist, as your generalized opinions don't do that. In short, you're just another Msga BS artist blowing smoke. Carry on.

Man makes some good points.

I have never once condemned the lockdowns, masking or vaccine mandates. They were a response to a new virus that we knew little about.

There’s always that Monday morning quarterbacking bullshit. The “I told you so” assholes.

We know this. Distancing, masking and vaccines work. Did they work perfectly? Nope. Scientifically, yes. As a public health POLICY, not as well because people were poor at following proper protocols. Were we slow to release the lockdowns? In some cases, yes.

Did we learn anything? Yes and no. We learned, but just as with the anthrax scare two decades ago, we’ll forget. Quickly.

Agreed they worked. History is a great teacher but, as most people on JPP know, MAGAts ain't much on readin'.

Examining the 1918 influenza pandemic is an opportunity to consider the current corona virus (SARS CoV-2 or COVID-19) crisis from a different perspective, and draw conclusions for other health programmes like NTEP so that the country is better prepared to deal with such situations in the future...

...During the present time various businesses have been affected due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Worst affected are the tourism/airline/hospitality industry etc. As per the protocols of Covid -19 a patient with mild symptoms like muscle aches, cough, sore throat/fatigue, should be isolated at home and use a medical mask.13 WHO suggested measures like frequent hand washing with an alcohol-based hand rub/soap and water, avoiding touching eyes, nose, and mouth, and practicing respiratory hygiene, use of face masks for personnel.

Still fascistic, whether you agree or not.

Yes, you have. Your generalized remarks, Taichilkibeeral, are nothing. In other words, you are another far left prog blowing smoke.

The strength is not on the outsides of the spectrum, MAGA or prog.
