Man, I have never been an A-Type male. I just wasn't born with a what I call a pretty face, and I never had those sculpted arms and tree trunks for legs! No, I was always a slender kind of guy, tall, broad shouldered, but not what I call well sculpted.
I actually had to work at it. As I learned a long time ago, that a mans arms are not all about biceps. I could lift weights and do bicep exercises, and still they never developed my arms like I wanted. I put more emphasis on tricep exercises and started to see that that helped shape them to where I felt comfortable wearing T-shirts for the first time without feeling inferior to other men. It made my arm strength much stronger as well.
Back in he late 80's I started going to Gold's Gym, and started hanging out with the guys and gals there in the weight room. They gave me the confidence I needed and worked with me to get me off on the right right track to know how to use weights to overcome your weak spots.
When I first started singing in my band, I sort of had a nasally voice and I didn't feel I could handle all of those Macho rock songs sung by the Ronnie James Dio's and David Lee Roth's. So I took some voice lessons, and leaned how to actually sing, and I can belt with the best of them now.
But a man has to feel comfortable in his own skin and can't just tuck tail and hide because he developed some kind of a complex. Women don't want to see this. They don't want a man with complexes.
Some men just can't get up and challenge themselves to be who they want to be.
But If I can do it, anyone can!
When you fall off your horse, get up, dust off the seat of your pants, and ride again!
And never listen to some idiot like Joe Rogan tell you what is macho. Eating Bat Dung is not macho!
