I suggest a real quote box altering rule.

Isn't there a "read post" link? It seems you can put them on ignore so you stop getting their notifications and read their posts when you want using the "read post" link.
Yes, the post is replaced with a link that says "view ignored content" (or something similar). When you click on that link, you can instantly view all of that user's posts just as you would if that user weren't on ignore. I don't know precisely how it worked on the old forum (since I never used ignore on the old forum), but on the new forum, this is how it works (since I've now had to use it for Dutch because of his abuse of the @ feature).

BTW, I've now removed him from my ignore list to see whether or not he continues with his childish abuse of the @ feature (towards me, anyway).
Then if you want to quote them you have to just copy/pasta it instead of using the post reply button because the post reply button isn't there....
You can still use the post reply button as you typically would.

The only thing that the ignore feature seems to do on the "front end" is automatically hide a user's posts, replacing those posts with a link that says "show ignored content". All one has to do is click on that link and then the ignored user's content appears same as it would if that user wasn't on ignore. One can then interact with that user's content the very same as one would if that user wasn't on ignore. The only difference on the "back end" is that you will not receive a notification in your feed whenever that user replies to your posts.

So, in short, the ignore feature simply hides a user's posts (unless you click on the "show ignored content" link) and stops all notifications from that user. You can still (mostly) interact with that user the same as you would if that user weren't on ignore (except that you can't follow any of that user's legitimate replies to you through the notification system).
:dunno:

I have literally never put anyone on ignore. But it seems like that is the way it would work here because I haven't made the "read post" link disappear like I did on the other site.
Yup, you essentially got it down.

So, regarding Dutch's childish behavior with the 40-50+ bogus notifications each day, the notification madness can indeed be stopped on the affected people's ends by putting Dutch on ignore. This is what I will end up doing once again if Dutch still continues his childish behavior and you decide to not make a "Dutch rule" against it. The only way such a scenario affects my normal use of the forum is that I cannot easily follow any of Dutch's legitimate responses to me via the notification system (since I'm blocking all of his notifications so that his illegitimate notifications get blocked). Having to click on the link to make his posts appear isn't much hassle at all, and I can still respond to them same as I would with anyone else. I just wouldn't be able to easily follow his responses to me since I would have to block all of his notifications in order to block his illegitimate notifications.

Or sooner based on your current condition.
Which is more likely to happen: TOXIC's liver explodes or she falls and dies like William Holden? Maybe she should buy a drinking helmet?

The body was in an advanced state of decomposition with maggots present and a large amount of putrefaction present as evidenced by the tissue separation and blisters with fluid present (nummy). Examination reveals an apparent laceration on his forehead approximately 3 inches in length. Holdens doctor showed up and theorized that he provably started vomiting blood, and possibly lacerated the lower portion of his esophagus.

They called Holden’s dentist, for records, to prove identification.

On the scene they found an empty vodka bottle in the trash can, along with 4 beer bottles and a partially full bottle of vodka on the kitchen sink. (Just in case.)

There was a large quantity of blood surrounding the body as well as all over the bedding and blankets.

From the condition of his body, it was decided that he had been dead for at least 4 days. Needless to say, Mr. Rigor Mortis had come to visit. Yuck.

Holden was 63 years old...

...They found the alcohol level in his bloodstream was .22. Holden was no stranger to tipple, so there was plenty of liver damage.

The opinion of the Medical Examiner goes like this: “On the basis of the autopsy findings and the “at scene” investigation, it became clear that the decedent (Holden) accidentally fell due to tripping over the throw rug (fuck!) on the bedroom floor beside the bed, and fell into the sharp edge of the bedside table causing a deep cut on the right forehead followed by profuse hemorrhage. There is no evidence of vomiting blood as there is no evidence of hemorrhage in the Gastrointestinal Tract or gastric contents in the blood pool on the bed or on the floor. There is no evidence of foul play as the room is not disturbed and the room was well secured as well as presence of numerous blood soaked Kleenex (hows that for product placement?) beside the bed.”
