I truly can't think of a more offensive concept than "bussing"

Nothing offends me more than this assinine idea.

First, if you live in a nice area, you pay property taxes. The government rapes your wallet. Maybe you should get something in return for that? Cool... so your kids get to go to a good school that you paid for. But wait, nope... your kids are going to get shipped to a shitty inner city school instead.

Often times you have to take a long bus ride, sometimes more than an hour in both directions. This is harmful to kids, young adults need sleep, need time to do homework and extracurricular activities.

Secondly, white kids would be far more isolated in black schools than the other way around. In my nearly all white high school, we had two black kids, and they had zero issues, everyone was friendly to them, they fit in fine.

White children going to a ghetto inner citty school would have it far worse.

It's not our fault that urban african americans are 70% without fathers, which leads to poor communities and lackluster institutions.

This social engineering is appalling.

Innocent kids should not have to go to shit tier schools when their parents have already paid for their education in their nicer community.

Now, we could make an argument that all schools should be properly funded. I can at least understand that argument because it's not good for anyone to have a bunch of retard citizens voting. Smarter citizens is better for everyone.

Bussing is not the way to go about doing that though.

I can't imagine moving out to the Suburbs, only to have your kids shipped back to inner city schools.

I think that's the wrong way of looking at it.........Schools of choice, vouchers.......if a parent picks a better school for their child, why shouldn't the school district provide buses to get those kids to school........

For grades 7-9 I had to go to the shitty middle school next to the zoo, even though we lived in a middle class neighborhood. This school was ranked 3rd out of all San Diego middle or junior high schools for worst academic performance and education. But, since it was public, I could not go out of district.

Thankfully my estranged father finally came through when it came time to go to San Diego high and he put me in a private school. Oddly, those rich fuckers were as mean if not worse than the bangers at Roosevelt.

7th grade there was not so easy. In the 8th grade this girl, whose older brother was a big time gangster (I think crips, but don't remember) had a huge crush on me. I was her white boy toy. Thankfully never had to make out with her, just let her pinch my ass now and then and flirt with her. Because she liked me, nobody bothered me. Butt pinch vs ass kicked....

It happened...but not for long...I was teaching at the time. (during deseg)..our school became quite the mix...
