I voted...

Clinton will go down in history as one of the greatest Presidents we have ever had. I know that really gets under some people's gullet, but you can't change facts. His administration did some things that I did not agree with, but you must admit the man is a political genius, even if you don't like him.

Froggie, I heart you!, i hang out with some high profile silicon valley folk blah blah blah. They still can handle more money than you, me, Clinton, Bush and Obama can dream of combined. Don't mean to be negative but it is true.

I'll have to disagree. He might go down as one of the most beloved presidents, but in terms of greatness, no, not even close. He was at best ineffectual.

We wanted to rid the nation of politics of the past, and instead, we are given a country now that I can't even recognize.

You want to talk about the politics of the past?

Boy, it's almost like we have put it on a rocket ship to the moon.

It is the politics of the past, just been energized to unbelievable and unrecognizable points.

So, now, we are two years into a fundamental transformation of our republic.

We have now Obamacare, which is one-sixth of our economy.

We have president who has added $3 trillion of debt on his watch.

There are record numbers of families on food stamps.

Our freedoms are being stripped away, from buying sugary soda to being able to dig in the sand in the beach in Florida.

The government is encroaching on to freedoms and fundamentally transforming, nudging, our way of life.

We are being detached from the Constitution.

People are called crazy if they actually want to even read the Constitution. We have people in Washington that say, read the Constitution, find it in the Constitution, no, I'll let somebody else do that.

We are being separated from religion.

We are being nudged away farther and farther from our Founding Fathers.

I have so many political flyers, I can heat my house for the winter with them! What a waste, do people even look at them before they toss them in the trash or fireplace? Billions of dollars on this election! What a waste!

What happened?

The Democrats got co-opted by the progressives.

The Democrats don't exist anymore.

They don't. They are the Democratic socialists.

That's who they are, the Democratic socialists, because the progressives ate the Democrats as our grandparents knew them.

The Democratic socialists.

Now, the Republicans are still under the same umbrella.

Not all of them.

There are a lot of good ones that are truly trying to get out from underneath this.

The Tea Party came in and they are standing up for those Republicans that want out from underneath the umbrella.

Some of them are still going to be there, because they believe in big giant government, too.

Me too. I can't believe that these flyers help people in their final choice.

I think Rena means that people will view him as such. Not that he really was. Atleast that's how I took it.
I think it will be that history judges him more kindly than we currently are! Does that straighten things out! I think Slick Willie is a political genius!

No... he won't. What were his accomplishments that would put him among the greats?

He was/is a political genius, that is certain, but accomplished little.

He had the advantage of the tech/telecom/internet boom driving prosperity, yet he (and the Rep Congress) still failed to reduce our nations debt in any fiscal year, despite the fact it was a time of peace for the US.

He repealed Glass Steagall (obviously with the overwhelming support of both parties in Congress)

He (like other Presidents) championed the 'more home owners than ever before' idiocy that led to Congress pushing for more lenient credit standards.

He failed to address Iraq... left it sitting there festering, pretending the status quo could last forever.

sorry, but I am not seeing any great accomplishments that would put him among the greats. Certainly one of the top 3 in the last half of the century... behind Ike and Reagan (could be debatable to put him ahead of Reagan).
