Idiots on this board

i did not assume....i "asked" it because that it was IB1 said and maineman also said it the other day and both stated i would be excluded. so i figure at least two people are talking about this, perhaps it is true, when i heard the first time i considered the source, now with another saying the same thing....

i merely asked, i should have said: is it true, my bad

I have no way of knowing who would be excluded. My guess is USFREEDOM911 is on the top of the list, however.

yeah, you really meant that here, funny how you're now changing your tune now that damo stepped in

Right. I really was trying to give you the impression I had the exact list in my hand or that I had the power to write it myself.

You are a fucking moron. What I do know is this invite only board idea came about because the "new people" to the board are just so fucking stupid.

Well. It is likely to be created. But I don't see why you would be excluded, just certain subjects would be excluded in that area. It would be an "above" plain politics. Plain politics lends itself to some battles that are not about politics per se, so far the idea has been bounced around a bit but hasn't been firmed up.

When I first created JPP I had the idea for three areas. Plain Politics, Above Plain Politics, and Below Plain Politics. In Plain politics our normal every day posts would go, warts and all. In Above I thought we could talk political strategy and other ideas that are not normal "conservative" or "liberal" ideation or delve more deeply into policies without expecting a sudden post of insults, you know, the "heady" place, and finally the muckraking area where people go to throw the mud.

Well, this would be an attempt to see if such an idea would work.

If somebody posted in the "above" area those posts would be separate from the "just" area. So, if a conversation were to cross into our regular 'warts' it could continue in the "just" area, and if it was going to get 'ugly' it could even progress into the "below" area... Posts in the "just" area would not be held against anybody so long as they kept their head while in the "above" area...

I dunno, we're bouncing the idea around and I think I may like to try it. :dunno:

Why would you assume that only ib1 and his friends would have access, for that matter why would he assume that?

If and/or when such a section is added it certainly wouldn't be a section saved for specific groups like that. Also, the assumption that such an area would be hidden would also be incorrect.

Ths is just the result of IB1dumbassguy making waves and seeing now much hate and discontent he can spread.

He's OUR village idiot.

Please don't put your money where your mouth is; because all that will happen is your money will get soggy.

interesting ideas...

so then IB1 is wrong that he thinks you wanted a secret area to exclude others?

I would certainly not want an area that showed that conversation on the site could be "above" plain politics away from the sight of potential members (guests) or members that want to read but can't post in it. There would be some exclusion for people that displayed an inability to post "above" plain politics, but the posts could be seen, copied, and commented on in the "plain" area following our normal criteria and read by all.

However I think the muckraking area would be visible only to members, we don't want to scare potential new posters away if they happen to get a link to that area and don't investigate further...

Grind told me they were considering an "invite only" section of the board.
Part of the consideration is deciding either to make it invite only, per request, or include all and then remove the ability to post in that area from those who do not display the ability to post within the spirit of "above" plain politics.

So hypothetically threads that have about five posts on subject and 45 more posts with folks telling each other they are idiots might happen less often?

In that area, yes. That would somewhat be the goal. It isn't to make it perfect or to force people to stay on a topic. (I like the way conversations sometimes turn into something else).

It will likely be subjective, and I am up for some user input as well.

How about excluding people with nothing valuable to contribute?

For instance, when USFREEDOM911 goes off on some stupid derailing rant about how he doesn't understand statistics and, ergo, they are useless.

But then your last few posts are a perfect example of you failing to debate and instead are just ranting. :pke:

Now lay down and go to sleep, like a good little doggie.
