I'm one of those deeply flawed people that was Chosen! When Chosen the first thing I did was offered my letter of resignation! Not Accepted! The Holy Spirit just kept teaching, I continued to plead my case,get someone else,not interest,this went on for quite some time , when finally I just submitted, because it was obvious, I could get out of being Chosen! Without the Holy Spirit, Christianity would have died out probably within a decade of Jesus death and resurrection.

Just a ticky-tack technicality but ... the vertical line test only applies to Cartesian (absolute) coordinates.
(x−a)^2 + (y−b)^2 = r^2 actually is a function if considered in polar coordinates, i.e. (r-cos(θ)-a)² + (r-sin(θ)-b)² = r² is the same circle but in polar coordinates, and is a function.

If using polar coordinates, the radius test replaces the vertical line test. If you rotate an infinitely long radius line 360 degrees and it only intersects at one point for any given θ, it is a function.

and really if you understood basic physics, there's only energy.
Ideas, minds, souls, conscience, imagination, math, values, ethics, creativity are immaterial and come from the animate. You are not just simply a collection of quarks and electrons.
Physicists wouldn't have bothered coming up with names like quarks, electrons, and muons unless they were considered a special case for how quantum energy fields vibrate and interact. Particles and matter are constituents of the language used in physics.

Thanks for tacitly admitting you totally forgot that immaterial realities (conscience, values, imagination, rationality, etc.) come from the animate and are inextricably linked to the animate.
Feel free to make the case to the National Academies of Science that we don't need words and concepts for particles and matter like quarks, electrons, neutrons.

You must not value them much, because you tried to reduce the animate (aka, life) to just matter and energy - and totally ignored that the immaterial realities like conscience, imagination, values are part of the animate and inextricably linked to it.

Matter and energy are interchangeable, E = MC^2. But the language of physics still treats the particle zoo of quarks and leptons as special and distinct particles of matter. The idea from quantum field theory that particles are just vibrations of the underlying quantum field is currently just a theory, and may or may not be ultimately correct.
You wouldn't follow me around and read everything I write if you actually thought that. Dumb gets boring real fast.
