If God were real, you wouldn’t need a book

there is.

morality is a set of attitudes and behaviors that facilitate voluntary, cooperative and mutually beneficial relationships.
Redefinition fallacy. Morality is 'proper behavior' in a society. Nothing else. It does not define what that society is. It does not define any absolutes.
Jesus called It the golden rule.
This is one type of morals to go by. I happen to agree with it, but not everybody does.
but of course, deep state murder freaks love evil and so refuse to acknowledge or define shitty behavior.
Try English. It works better.

Well....IF A GOD EXISTS...everything would be evidence that it exists..
Everything is.
.even if we are unable to show that it is. Diesel, IF A CREATOR GOD (OR GODS) EXIST...all of what exists is because of it whether we can show that to be the case or not.
Evidence is not a proof.
To say that there has never been any evidence that any (GOD) exists...is itself, irrational.
It could be argued as such, since it is an attempt to deny everything.
The very best we can say about the true nature of the REALITY of existence..
Nonsense phrase. Try English. It works better.
.and specifically "does at least one god exist?) is...
There is evidence for it. You admitted it yourself.
...I DO NOT KNOW AND CANNOT MAKE A REASONABLE, INFORMED GUESS.
Here at last you recognize the circular nature of any such claim. Any belief in a god or gods cannot be proven. Such belief MUST exist on faith, and faith alone.

I despise when laws have at their basis primarily a religious foundation.
Then you despise the United States. See the Declaration of Independence and root of how the Constitution itself was formed.
Obviously some laws have a religious foundation, but with a reasonable societal need. Murder and theft come immediately to mind. They do not bother me. If no gods found them objectionable, a reasonable society would have to control them.
Yet both of these laws are religiously based.
Laws should be promulgated in furtherance of a benefit to society.
But what society? A society of drug dealers? A society of gangs? A society of hardworking people on the farm? A society of church members?
Laws like "Sundays (or Saturdays) are sacred and such and such cannot be done" are unreasonable.
Why?
Laws that limit marriage eligibility because of age considerations make sense...laws that limit marriage eligibility because of race or gender do not...no matter that they might offend some god or another. Laws that declare I must pledge my allegiance the flag of our nation "under god" is, in my opinion, bullshit...as is having "In god we trust" on our money.
By definition, marriage is between a man and a woman. There is no other definition.

If everything is evidence for God then it kind of feels like nothing is.
Paradox. Irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox. Strange loop fallacy.
How does one even test the claim that God exists if, ex cathedra, we are told everything is ipso facto evidence of God?
You can't. The evidence simply exists.
Kind of makes God into an unfalsfiable concept which is pretty much useless and easily dismissed.
Correct. This is true of any unfalsifiable theory, such as:

The Theory of Evolution.
The Theory of Abiogenesis.
The Theory of Creation.
The Theory of the Big Bang.
The Theory of the Continuum.
The Theory of Multiverse.

ANY belief in an unfalsifiable theory is and must be based on faith, and faith alone.

It is not possible to prove any theory True in an open functional system.
It IS possible to prove a theory of science False.

Then you despise the United States. See the Declaration of Independence and root of how the Constitution itself was formed.

Yet both of these laws are religiously based.

But what society? A society of drug dealers? A society of gangs? A society of hardworking people on the farm? A society of church members?

but are atheists pro murder?
