this thread made me cry
Yes, albeit subtly. It can only help him. The only reason Mitt is essentially tied with Obama is because people do not feel like they can relate to him personally. This is especially true of women voters. I believe a couple tears will seal the deal.
Yes, it's a real turn on...
That is probably the worst single piece of political advice since Johnson advised Kennedy "You should go to Dallas, they'll love you there!".Yes, albeit subtly. It can only help him. Not for men it isn't. And Republicans have proven time and again they only care about other men and don't care about women or issues important to women.

My experience has been that tears are an indicator to women that you are ready for the kill!Tears only seal a deal with women when they are sincere and real.
As ugly as you are......that shouldn't be hard.so I should try to make women cry?
LOL That would do it! LOL"Mr. Romney, the IRS just seized all of your assets"
Cry a little. Don't start blubbering à la Boehner, but tell a story and tear up a little. Do this, and you will effectively cancel out anything Obama has to say about abortion, and probably gain amongst women by a couple points.
That may sound ridiculous, but it's basically guaranteed to be effective.
I don't think he needs to cry, Ronald Reagan never cried. What he needs to do, is nail Obama with poignant statements of indisputable truth. Reagan's was; "Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?" Romney needs to make an emotional connection with the people, it doesn't have to be "teary-eyed" or even on that emotional level. He just needs to speak with compassion and present a sense of vision, and like I said, nail Obama's ass with indisputable poignant truths.
Which is why Romney is pulling closer to Obama with women. Clearly they are all self-hating and going against their best interests.
Then he's going to be in trouble because I haven't seen any indication where he connects with the middle class on any level.
Is there a certain segment of the female population that still clings to the old adage "barefoot and pregnant", dreamt up so long ago by domineering men to keep women in their supposed place?
Of course.
Are there women who would rather have everything "mansplained" to them by know-it-alls like SF?
You bet!
Just as there are Middle Class Americans ready to vote against their own best interests because their narrow minds are filled with nonsense spoonfed to them by Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck and the rest.

So, in short, what you are saying is that you are an idiot. Incapable of addressing the fact that the polls show that Romney is gaining ground with women? You are thus going to resort to your hate filled ranting? Good to know.
I would tell Mitt not to lose focus. Hammer home his message and his 5 point plan. Challenge Obama when he needs to,and stay calm. Obama is the one that is in danger of slipping with a bad performance. If he has a terrible performance, he could be checking himself out of the whitehouse. He has the most to lose, and the most pressure on him.
