When people from the right denigrate my service solely because I am a democrat, I DO enjoy rubbing their noses in the fact that their taxes flow into my bank account every month - and will continue to flow into my much younger wife's bank account for decades after my death.... but I AM grateful - especially so to those who are grateful to me. I had a wonderful, exciting, challenging and always interesting career and now I am having a wonderful, exciting and interesting retirement... on your nickel. As it should be.
