If tariffs dont raise prices….

Yes you are not a Trumpper, remember?

However, you should care somewhat about such deception upon the more gullible of the American public.

It’s harming our economy.
Again... He told you what he was doing and why, asking why he's doing it after quoting him is just blather. This bores me.

My point is it is simply hypocritical based on his earlier claims, that his disciples, gobbled up, and now do not care an inch, or will even admit to themselves, that they fell for it.

They supported Tariffs, in part because they believed him when he said they do not increase prices. Now they support removing tariffs because certain food items have become expensive.

This is the crux of cult politics, which harm Democracy.

If this were a democrat you’d be all over it!

Then why is he removing tariffs to reduce prices?
RQAA. I'll say it AGAIN. Don't ask over and over like a mindless idiot.

Tariffs are not being removed.

Tariffs are being reduced on items not produced in the U.S., such as coffee and some tropical fruit.
Beef is neither. Beef is domestically produced in the U.S.

I can tell you that getting things shipped from the UK / Europe, no tariff involved necessarily, is grotesquely expensive mostly because of the UK and Europe. The bureaucracy is onerous.
Shipping stuff TO the UK or Europe, involves some pretty nasty tariffs. The UK in particular is also nasty about getting all the international shipping papers just right. ("Hrmphh!")

Guess what inspired the Vogons?
I just ordered from Rimmer Brothers in the UK a pair of MGTF / MGF 240mm conversion brake discs (they fit perfectly on a Lotus Europa rear suspension to switch it to disc brakes.) These cost me in USD just a little over $20 each. Shipping after export duty, VAT, and whatnot, came to $93 USD and change.

Tariffs aren't the problem with the UK and Europe, bureaucracy and onerous laws there are.
Tariffs levied by the UK and EU are also onerous. Rather more than what we charge to import their goods!

The Germans are just as bad in their own way. The customs and export paperwork for a book I ordered arrived within days. The book arrived almost 2 months later...

The French were nice. Amazon France shipped the book right away and there was even a nice hand written note inside thanking me for my order (in French). No paperwork involved other than a billing sheet.

You ARE a Democrat.

You are miserable if tariffs are raised.
You are miserable if tariffs are reduced.
You are miserable if prices are higher.
You are miserable if prices are lower.

You are just miserable. The hypocrisy is YOU.

If we really want beef prices to go down stop using thousands of acres for corn to make ethanol for an additive to gasoline. Feed it to cows instead. It does little for air pollution today and cheap feed for cows would reduce the price of raising them.
I agree. Go back to using TEL. It's a much more effective moderator, and it helps lubricate the engine. It is also not hygroscopic, like ethanol is, meaning less rust in engine, fuel system, and induction components. It also doesn't attack cork gaskets, like ethanol does.

There's only one problem. TEL poisons catalytic converters, and too many places think those things actually help or something.
Worse, Cars today are all FADAC design. Their computers are programmed to account for the back pressure from the catalytic converter. The computer will have to be reprogrammed to handle the additional air flow through the engine if the catalytic converter is removed.

An O2 sensor is still useful as a fuel trim device though.

France is more laisses faire then other EU nations like Germany. It's the reason the Germans and the French never got along with each other through the years!

The uptight Germans tell the French, "Get a life!".
The loose and relaxed French tell the Germans, "Get a life!".

You can see the same dynamic between Japan and China.
