You can't even get the case right. They are saying that if you come here and are NOT a LEGAL resident or a CITIZEN, the babies you birth here are citizens of the nations you came from. That is what "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" means you brainless twit.

I was born in Germany to American parents. I wasn't automatically granted citizenship. I was born a citizen of the US. I would have to actually apply for it and meet German requirements.

They didn't need to be citizens. They were LEGAL residents therefore meeting the 14th amendment requirement of "subject to the jurisdiction thereof."
