Most of the presumed conspirators in the FBI, CIA etc. were Republicans. Why didn't they go along with it like the rest of the GOP? What do you think spooked them?
If there really was a Deep State conspiracy to stop Trump, why did they do it?

Congressional Republicans were "in power", but apart from a few mavericks they were reconciled to Trump and some were even enthusiastic. What's different about Republicans in the FBI?

That is the reason: power corrupts. And in order to keep their power they must be even more corrupt. That's been the story throughout human history.

It started with the Clinton administration, using government agencies as weapons against political opponents. It got much worse under The Obama with Holder and Lynch. Why do you think Loretta Lynch met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac in June '16? To remind her that she would hang along with himself, Hillary, Obama and all of them.
