If there is a Swamp in DC, many congressional Republicans must be part of it. Yet with few exceptions they line up behind Trump - the man who promised his dimwit voters that he was going to "drain the swamp".

During the campaign when warned about the storm, Trump proclaimed, "I am the storm."
Now, I think he proclaims, "I am the swamp."

Not only that, but more than a year into his presidency what has Trump done to expose alleged malfeasance under the Clinton and Obama administrations? NOTHING. Wouldn't it have provided much-needed distraction for him if there was anything to it?
A reasonable inference is that "draining the swamp" was nothing but campaign fodder for gullible souls (naming no names).
