If Trump pardons the Jan 6 insurrectionists...

It says it was justified because and only because it was for Him.

Trump said: “I don’t fucking care that they have weapons, they’re not here to hurt me. They’re not here to hurt me. Take the fucking mags away. Let my people in. They can march to the Capitol from here, let the people in and take the mags away.”

How will the MAGA morons rationalize these statements?

I say anyone convicted of “insurrection” should remain in jail. I think your best shot at that was probably ray epps, but he was only given a year of probation.
Agreed. Anyone who took the oath should be treated as a traitor.

My understanding is that, even though, like other MAGAts on the scene, Epps helped incite others to act, he didn’t commit any violence nor go into Congress.

Trump was president. He was the Commander-in-Chief. He swore to protect America from all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC.
And when the Capitol was attacked, he sat around and did nothing but blame Pelosi.
Trump is unfit to be POTUS.

Agreed on all points.

Agreed on all points.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

He swore to protect America from all enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC. He didn't.
It's that simple.

Looks like Mr. Tiny Penis and Joey wet panties are going to get a room together. Better be big enough to fit both egos.

Fmr. Trump aide Matthews on January 6: It took hours for Trump to condemn the violence and after his closest advisers begged him, he reluctantly finally did. He was enjoying what was happening, he wanted to do everything he could to stay in power. That's why I resigned that day.

That's my understanding also. Mainly by all the testimony of Trump staffers in the 1/6 hearings.

We should hear it again during the trial.

If I was head of the Biden campaign, I would saturate the airwaves with these former Trump advisors quotes:

Trump's Own Cabinet Members - People He Hired - Have Repeatedly Warned the American Public That Trump is POISON to Our Nation

"He is more dangerous than anyone can imagine." Gen. James Mattis, Trump's former Defense Sec.

Trump "has no idea what America stands for" and "has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the Rule of Law." Gen. John Kelly, Trump's former WH Chief of Staff.

"He is a consummate narcissist... He will always put his own interests... ahead of everything else, including the country's interests." Bill Barr, Trump's former Attorney General.

"Trump and other officials have repeatedly compromised our principles in pursuit of partisan advantage and personal gain." Gen. HR McMaster, Trump's former National Security Advisor.

"He is not fit to be President." John Bolton, Trump's former National Security Advisor.

"He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country." Mark Esper, Trump's former Defense Secretary.

Time until MAGAts start screaming all those statements are all lies and were coerced by the evil Democrats under orders from Biden: 10...9...8....

MAGAts never believe anything contrary to their fawning of the Orange Jesus. It's why they'll send him all of their money and go to prison for him. They are insane.

Pardoning those who followed Trump's illegal orders has been his way of using the pardoning power. He was the first prez to pardon people who were in a plot that he was involved in. Trump used the pardoning power to protect himself. Trump has no respect for that power. It is a tool for his self-protection and nothing else.

People who attacked the Capitol that day were not "patriots," and they're not "hostages."

They tried to take away MY vote. They tried to take away YOUR vote.

Our vote is a sacred thing in this democracy, while it lasts. The idea that Trump will potentially pardon these criminals is chilling. He would be choosing loyalty to him over loyalty to America & the rule of law.

Which is why they are terrorists. Those who took the oath and attacked Congress are traitors. All should be treated accordingly. Like the terrorists of the 1960s, the FBI will never give up their hunt for these terrorists and/or traitors even if they eventually track them down in an old folks home. Each should face justice and do their time.
