If you met the queen of England...

Does anyone seriously care? I very much doubt if you would ever be asked to meet the Queen anywhere, ever and if you couldn't be bothered with archaic bullshit, why on earth would it matter? You live in an Eighteenth Century dream, kid.
That reminds me of when I was drinking with a Scottsman. He offered a cheer “To the Queen!”. To which I said “Fuck the Queen.”. The Scottsman said “Oi man you canna even approach her.”.

Not at all. I'm a free man. I bow to no one. What makes them so special? Their station is nothing but an accident of birth.

You also are an asshole...so?

In any case, I work at a golf course with lots...LOTS...of Asian players. The custom among Koreans, for instance, is a polite bow to each other. I often observe the custom.

But then again, I am a free man who is not an asshole...so I guess there is that difference.

...or any other person of royalty, would you bow to them?
I would not. How about you?
Well it depends on the circumstances. If I was in England I would consider it a great honor and I would adhere to respectful protocol to which I believe non British Subjects are not required to bow.

Here in the US would be pretty much the same but no I wouldn’t bow but I’m pretty sure that would not be expected of me.

If I was representing my government then bowing to anyone is prohibited.

Ay, like being trumpf. Does anybody bow, by the way? - I've never heard of such a thing. You're not free, incidentally - you're a brainwashed American bumsucker! :)

Grugore is a free man who would not bow to the Queen...but he would bend down an suck Donald Trump's cock.

Me...I'd much rather bow to the Queen.

I don't know about you, but isn't she is getting a little bit old for that sort of thing? Try Trumpf! :)

It’s not like you’re required to. At an official level I agree with you. I’m an American and it is our tradition and I’m required to bow to no one.

So let me flip that on you. If you’re in Asia and someone bows to you in a sign of respect would you return that bow when it is in no way required?

Then don’t. I agree that I’m required to bow to no one but no big deal if I choose to do so to be polite.

The interesting thing, I reckon,is that this bowing is an American fantasy anyway. I'd never choose to meet the Queen myself - you have to call her 'Mam' (the way you say Ma'am, I gather) and not speak until spoken to - but she certainly seems hugely superior to Trumf as a Head of State, though if Carlo should ever succeed it might be pushing it. It is like being a Prime Minster for the Brexiteer nutters, however, taking that job: nobody without an incredible sense of duty would touch it!

Gotta be as tough as Donald Trump finding a Chief of Staff!

Enjoyed the Speaker asking that the Mace be put back in place...and the offender leave the chamber. Very polite guy...I must say.

I would bow to the Queen of England out of respect for her and the traditions of the UK.. That gesture is NOT a threat to me or anyone else.

Picking up the Mace is a sort-of-revolutionary custom, in intention at least. I think Oliver Cromwell started it.

I remember, as a young RAF cadet, route-lining for a royal visit, eyeing -up the girls opposite and such to pass the weary hours, until a great big car came by with a small, incredibly bored-looking person in the back. We have grown old, if not together, at least alongside, and she, unlike me, has learned to hide her boredom. She deserves any bowing she may get, fair play! :)
