Did not say that now did I, rather I’m asking for the significance of an innocent women being murdered by an illegal immigrant? Across the nation surely scores of innocent women are being murdered by non immigrants every day, is that just as significant?

The significance is that in the case of an illegal, it shouldn't have happened. Illegal aliens, particularly ones with a criminal record, should be held until deported on a first offense, even a misdemeanor. There is ZERO reason to keep them in the US after they commit ANY crime, and there is ZERO reason to release anyone who is in the US illegally if they've committed a crime. They should be considered, de facto, a flight risk.
