I'm sorry: I can't get over how stupid Bill O'Reilly is

I know - I shouldn't watch anymore.

He just spent the 1st portion of his show lambasting Edwards & other Democrats for voting against the Iran resolution, focusing on the part of the resolution branding Iranian forces as "terrorists," and saying how we can't trust Dems because they're afraid to even call them terrorists.

A Dem strategist correctly pointed out that the language that was much more significant had to do w/ giving license for aggressive action against Iran, saying "we don't want to give Bush license to get us into another unwinnable war." Bill-O jumped on the last part, exclaiming, "You don't think we can beat Iran? Is that what you want Democrats to run on?!!"

Another strategist jumped in and said Edwards & others had different strategies on terror. Bill-o mockingly challenged him, and he started off saying the word "Communication". He was immediately cut off, because Bill jumped on that, implying (even more mockingly) that Democrats want to "communicate with the terrorists." Under his blustery ridicule, you could hear the other strategist clearly saying "Communication with our allies," which he ignored.

It was exhausting.

I am just wondering when does this guy "jump the shark" as they say, and become such a caricature of himself, that his ratings become untenable and FOX finally gets rid of him? It seems to me from what I have seen, that he has already done this...I wonder if his fans will ever reconize that?

I find it hard to believe that an idiot like him actually has "fans."

His audience has to be mainly masochists such as myself, who inexplicably keep watching just so they can get more pissed off...

You're in a really bad place Onceler. I think these posts are a scream for help.

He does have actual fans though, seriously, my aunt's husband is a big one.

Yeah My ex's father is a BIG Billo fan.
lives on the dole and rants about those on welfare.
But he is an "independent"

Umm SS. Medicare, and free medical to cover what Medicare does not, etc....
And was on the dole from me thru my EX as well.

And they guy never really paid in any SS money in his life. He was always a deadbeat bum.

I guess it takes one to know one... (Not talking about you, talking about the guy complaining about the other bums.)

LOL! Fabulous. My aunt's husband was in the airplane mechanics union (or something like that) his whole life, and of course, he is anti-union and bitches about the liberals all of the time! Meanwhile, he is such a gavone, and stupid? He couldn't get a job in any kind of office, forget about it. He had a very nice, middle class life, owned his own nice home, raised three kids (also gavones, sadly) the whole suburbia thing...because of a union.

the EX FIL never had a union job, never got that high. Always hated them though. Also he fits spinners profile of me pretty well, but he never even got his GED.

Bill-O is the text book gold-standard for the "I'm not a republican"-republican apologist for the Bush administration.

i.e., one who claims to be to not be a bush defender, but spends 90% of their time defending or minimizing the atrocities of the Bush regime. :cof1:

Yep. I think I read that he was a lifelong registered Republican who was urged by Fox to switch to "independent" when his show started.

His whole show now is about the deranged left, and their effort to disrupt the outstanding job Bush is doing. Dennis Miller was on there last night saying he is confident Bush will go down as "one of our greatest Presidents" when all is said & done.

I was going to start a separate thread on that one, but it's too much to bear...

Aww.

Dennis Miller, I forgot about him. I just refuse to watch these guys. I don't want to be a screaming lunatic, and that's what listening to them turns me into.

Dennis Miller thinks Bush is great?

Completely.

Unless he went into the closet, and is pretending now that he "never really liked bush".

I remember seeing Miller a couple years ago on TV, and he said the greatest thing he loved about Bush, was that "Bush wakes up EVERY morning, and the first thing he does is scratch his balls and thinks about how many terrorists he can kill today"

I think Miller was speaking for a lot of republicans, before they went in the closet. ;)

Ech, no way, he said that?

This is why there are a lot of lesbians you know.
