Electric vehicles are a "hoax," they do not work, and they are strengthening China's economy at the expense of American jobs.

Those are among the criticisms that contenders for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, including former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, have leveled on the campaign trail in recent weeks.

But while EVs have emerged as a common foe for Republicans seeking the country's top job, they are increasingly a source of tax revenue and employment in the states that will determine the winner of the 2024 presidential election.
That has created a potential opportunity that President Joe Biden and some Democratic congressional candidates are seeking to exploit to win support before next November's vote, according to 25 Democratic and Republican strategists, local officials, labor leaders and a review of campaign literature.
There have been roughly $128 billion in investments in domestic EV and battery manufacturing announced since the 2022 passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, or IRA. That law, supported by Biden and congressional Democrats, created tax credits to boost domestic EV manufacturing.
Of that investment, $48 billion - or one third - has taken place in Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Michigan, according to an analysis done by advocacy group Climate Power at Reuters' request. Those four states, along with Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and North Carolina, are the arguably the most competitive in the country.
In those seven states combined, Trump holds a 41% to 35% lead over Biden, meaning the race is extremely tight when the credibility interval is considered, according to a September Reuters/Ipsos poll. About 24% of respondents said they were not sure how they would vote or planned to vote for someone else.
Other surveys have indicated a dead heat in some of those states, meaning both Democrats and Republicans will be attuned to any angle that could give them even a slight advantage.
Mike Morey, a partner at public affairs and political consulting firm SKDK, said EV investments promoted by the Biden administration could make a significant difference.
"It's pretty hard to ignore. We're talking about billions of dollars (in investments)," he said.

They get so butthurt over EV news it's hilarious.

They hate EVs because Russia has one money making export

It’s called gas and oil

They will be a pauper nation once renewables are everywhere

Because the cult leader trump tells them to non stop hump Putins leg

There is big money for trump in those cult orders

MAGA morons swallow everything Trump says. They swallow everything Trump says about EVs, too. They're too stupid and lazy to think for themselves so they let Trump do all the thinking for them.
Some of them even drank Clorox because Trump said it was cool.

All Farm Equipment Including Tractors And Combines Will Be Electric

https://apple.news/AXwJ64TF_QXO9Vbcwqt3wBg

As we electrify everything all at once to address global warming, a big question that arises is about vehicles that don’t run on roads near cities. What will we do with them?
In this series on the big subset of everything that is transportation, we’ve already looked at cars, buses, trucking and railroads. The reasons why they will all be battery electric or tied directly to overhead wires, fully powered by decarbonized electricity, are laid out there. There’s no room for hydrogen, synthetic fuels or biofuels for anything that runs on pavement or rails. But what about off of the paved road?
Let’s first categorize farm equipment a bit. It’s more sophisticated than you’d think. For this purpose it’s worth thinking about stationary equipment, light utility vehicles, airborne vehicles or services and heavy farming equipment.
For stationary equipment, whether it milks cows or smokes peppers, that’s all trivial to plug into electricity, and increasingly it already is. Just like the big cranes in ports, if it doesn’t move around, it gets plugged in. Anything that’s currently burning propane will burn electrons in the future, and be more efficient, quieter and less polluting in the process.
Light utility vehicles include pickups — although the top end of that category is anything but light —, vans, powered carts and all terrain vehicles of various types. These are already electrifying rapidly, with adequate battery powered options for every type of vehicle and more arriving from manufacturers daily. The same economics that are driving cars and pickups that spend their time on the roads apply. Battery electric vehicles are simpler, a lot cheaper to operate, quiet and have amazing torque.

Then why did Quid Pro Biden end American Energy Independance?

Oh, that's right - Vlad has been bribing Biden for 50 years.

EV inventories have increased by 506% from a year ago, with EVs sitting on lots for longer, according to CarGurus’ October report, released this month. EVs sit on the market an average 82 days versus 64 days for gas-powered vehicles, it said. In response to slowing demand, automakers like Ford and GM are cutting production.

EV sales climb and are on track to be 9% of US new car purchases in 2023: Atlas Public Policy

https://www.utilitydive.com/news/electric-vehicles-EVs-new-car-sales-2023/700799/

U.S. sales of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric vehicles reached 17.7% of new light-duty vehicle sales in the third quarter, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Published Nov. 28, 2023

U.S. consumers purchasing new light-duty cars or trucks are increasingly considering electric vehicles, which are on pace to make up 9% of sales this year according to data from EV Hub, a tracker run by Atlas Public Policy. EVs, including plug-in hybrids, accounted for 7.3% sales in 2022.
Combined U.S. sales of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery-electric vehicles reached 17.7% of new light-duty vehicle sales in the third quarter, according to the Energy Information Administration. Experts say the figure illustrates growing consumer interest in the range of benefits provided by EVs and other efficient vehicles.
Despite a spate of news articles lamenting slower EV uptake, observers say the data may not bear out that narrative as supply chain shortages are alleviated. “I don’t see sales lagging at all,” said Joel Levin, executive director of Plug In America.

Joe shits-his-pants-a-lot wants us to believe that everybody can't wait to get an EV. He squeals like a 22 y.o girl about how popular they are but never about how poorly they are selling.
