Lie, lame and uneducated. Tariffs are not a tax. They are an import duty placed on the exporters and those who import their goods. Sometimes the exporter will eat most or all of the costs to remain competitive.

The consumers of their products, if prices go up, have a CHOICE to either buy the higher cost items or buy them elsewhere or not buy at all. Unlike taxes that are INVOLUNTARY and forced on the consumer, these are purely VOLUNTARY and not forced on the consumers.
