Why 18 years? Why not 20 or 24, or 16? Ethics reform? That's on the court as there is a separation of powers. If Congress or the Executive branch can do that, then what's to bar them from other "reforms" that strip powers or separation?
Good luck with that. That's nothing new either. There have long been calls to ban insider trading by Congress.
So, you are in favor of perpetual criminal investigations of the sitting President with the alternative that Presidents are hamstrung into inaction because of the threat of being charged for some crime or another? Who would bring these charges, Congress? That brings in, again, separation of power.

I hate to say it, but after his first and only debate, the mere sound of his voice, the look at his face, literally makes me ill, sick to my stomach. Its painful watching this lil old man drug himself up enough to sound and speak tough only to limp backstage from the exhaustion. I will remember Joe, wandering around a cheese factory with 20 people at one of his rallies in 2020 looking like the old man he was before Clayburn saved him from the dead.
