Court: No right to resist illegal cop entry into home
this is an absolutely insane decision and just goes to show the continuing illegitimacy of the judicial system.
Giving people the "right to resist illegal entry" would probably just result in many instances of cops getting shot when the owners erroneously interpreted the entry as illegal (probably because they were angry more than anything else). The court system is a better place to resolve this dispute than the mind of some violent loon.

maybe, and as i'm sure you're sitting here just trying to be a troll, what this decision is telling you is that you are not smart enough to know when an entry in to your home is legal or illegal, so you have no more right to resist even an illegal entry. the courts, who are much more intelligent than you, will decide if your home was entered illegally and then appropriately punish the guilty party. I'm sure you don't care about that part though, since you're obviously a pro police state troll and you're more interested in the police having unfettered access to the homes of people you don't like, like me most likely.
As opposed to lunatics shooting all police who enter their homes and the courts deciding whether or not to try them for murder?

Did you not read any of this thread? Did you not hear about the latest USSC ruling kentucky v. king? you asked me if i "trust" the courts....my answer is yes. not 100% trust....but i don't trust any other form of government to protect my rights. STY....you know i have disagreed with scotus and other (lower court) decisions....i don't hold their decisions as gospel. but do i trust in that form of government....yes....and so should you. there are bad decisions and i agreed with you wholeheartedly on the warrant case. what would you have our government do different?

SOUTH BEND - A woman told police she was forced to the floor at gunpoint early Saturday morning, after a gang of masked men broke into her home in what may be a case of mistaken identity.
Police were called to the home in the 1500 block of Webster Street about 1:30 a.m., after the woman reported the robbery.
According to police reports, the 41-year-old woman told police that she heard someone kicking on her door and then saw it break open as a group of men, wearing ski masks and carrying guns, rushed into her home.
The woman said the men yelled “Police” several times as they entered with guns drawn.
The woman said she and another man, who came downstairs after hearing the noise, were forced to lie on the floor and that a blanket was placed over their heads. The woman said the men asked for drugs and money.
The woman said at one point she heard one of the men say they were at the wrong house.
The men then left, taking the woman’s cell phone. She removed the blanket from her head to find her home ransacked.
Police were unable to locate any suspects, who might have left the area in a van.
Saturday morning’s home invasion is similar to an incident reported Thursday morning, when a woman and her three children were held at gunpoint at their home in the 200 block of North Gladstone.
Police said it’s not known if the cases are related, but both remain unsolved.

so lawmakers in Indiana were ignored by the state supreme court to review and perhaps modify their opinion, so they are looking at taking it up in committee to determine if hoosiers have the right to resist an unlawful entry by police.

It is not a courts authority to determine we no longer have that right because it would ultimately lead to someones death. The judicial branch did not write the state constitutions or the US Constitution, we the people did and we the people determined our rights.
Should the legislature fail to rectify this overreach of the courts, there is only one option left to we the people and that is jury nullification.
