Iran closes Strait of Hormuz again.

What happens is that Iran tells people it is no longer safe to cross, this causes insurance companies to go apedooky and start charging ridiculous rates for them to cross the strait, this effectively shuts it down with minimal activity from anyone at all.
the threat of proximity to Irani projectiles is real tho.

its not like its "in everybody's mind".

we have all the oil we need in our region.

all that "not worth getting out of the ground till price x" shit is bullshit.

let's just do us.

Nope not a farce.

Iran is still hitting targets across the ME and in the strait and if you got off magat media you not believe Trump's lies otherwise.

---------------

As of March and April 2026, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has attacked, struck, or detained multiple commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. These actions are part of a broader, ongoing conflict, with over 20 vessels reported attacked or impacted since late February 2026, forcing traffic below 10% of normal volumes.

Key Details on Iranian Attacks (2026):
  • Targeted Attacks: The Thai-flagged bulk carrier Mayuree Naree was hit by projectiles on March 10/11, 2026.
  • IRGC Action: The IRGC admitted to firing on the Mayuree Naree and another ship, the Express Rome, after claiming they ignored warnings not to traverse the strait.
  • Other Incidents: Multiple ships, including the Japanese-owned One Majesty and the Marshall Islands-flagged Star Gwyneth, suffered damages from unidentified projectiles.
  • Blockade Tactics: Iran has generally blocked the strait since February 28, 2026, forcing vessels to seek, or be denied, passage through its controlled waters.

Stop outsourcing your thinking to AI, Q-tip.

I'd prefer that you form your own arguments instead of having AI form them FOR you.
ya well that is just stupid.

You saying "i think the Strait is open'

And me replying " I think it closed"

And neither of us using google or Ai to search for the facts and just saying 'no my opinion is right'... 'no mine is', is the thing idiots do.

So i get why you want to do that but i will always look up the facts and cite them to PROVE you are wrong and not just use my opinion. @FastLane used to try your same stupid argument calling for no facts as well and just to post opinion versus opinion.

ya well that is just stupid.
Yes, it's stupid to outsource your thinking to AI.
You saying "i think the Strait is open'
I KNOW that the Strait is open. Ships have been sailing through it. If ships are sailing through it, then it is open.
And me replying " I think it closed"
You're wrong. Ships are sailing through it.
And neither of us using google or Ai to search for the facts and just saying 'no my opinion is right'... 'no mine is', is the thing idiots do.
AI pulls from leftist propaganda sources. Google promotes and prioritizes leftist propaganda sources. Algorithms are purposely set up to promote and prioritize leftist propaganda sources.

Research (searching for the truth) is a good thing to do, but one needs to know how to do it. Google is not research. AI is not research. Leftist propaganda sources are not research.

My position on the matter hinges on basic logic. If ships can and are sailing through the Strait, then the Strait is obviously open (and not closed). The only "closure" of the Strait is self-imposed due to fear (a lot of it coming from insurers atm).
So i get why you want to do that but i will always look up the facts and cite them to PROVE you are wrong and not just use my opinion.
No, you will always outsource your thinking to AI and Google because you are incapable of thinking for yourself. Thus, you will always ultimately be spouting off the leftist propaganda that those sources pull from.
@FastLane used to try your same stupid argument calling for no facts as well and just to post opinion versus opinion.
FastLane is correct to say that the Strait is open. If it were closed, then no ships would be sailing through it. Ships ARE sailing through it, thus it is open. Iran doesn't have the means to stop any ship from sailing through the Strait that wishes to sail through the Strait. The only thing stopping any ship from sailing through the Strait is fear of what Iran *might* do in response.
