Obviously, Trump isn't like Hitler in many ways - but his manipulation of the masses is from the exact same playbook. He has done the "Reichstag fire" thing countless times.
Is anyone here in disagreement with the Democrat prediction of gaining house seats?

Not so much fear mongering. More attune to lack of historical knowledge and intellect.

And Only God Knows if he really exists! I mean, if he don't, the joke was on us, right?
But anyway, my prediction is that because of the only Congressional seats up for election are those in our bloody red-ist states, and while the races there are so close that many Democrats will sweep into power in districts of the most populous areas in those red ass states.
The Democrats may not actually win all the Senate seats in all those states, but that is a lot of House seats- and it will clearly be enough to win back the power in the House.
And that will easily be enough to put the Monster-in-chief immediately into check!
Bravo! And we can only thank Donald Trump for our upcoming win!

Well, you're certainly overplaying how much people do it. It's not pervasive - and like I said, his demagoguery is from the exact same textbook. It's valid to make the comparison on that level. We should learn from history, not ignore it.

What better way to instill fear into minorities than telling them Trump is a Hitler? And yes, it’s ahistorical and absurd. It’s also a gross insult to survivors of the Reich.

Thanks for backing up my point that it isn't pervasive.
Says the people with pundits on their side that tell us we should "fear" white guys and that Trump is the same as Hitler because he says stuff that hurts their feelings sometimes.

But you're deflecting, regardless. Trump is a textbook demagogue. Every candidate engages in some fearmongering. Few candidates make it an art form.
my fav. fearmongering is on "nationalism". The have to dog whistle it up to "white nationalism"
When I say "no it's nationalism" ( as opposed to "globalism") they STILL have to fearmonger it up -
with "well the implication is white nationalism" no. no it's not. i even juxtaposed globalism for you.
But it's an ingrained taking point - they have to reflexively change it to be about race
I agree with your point. I think we are arriving at the same conclusion. If anyone knew the history of Hitler, they would see quite clearly there is no comparison at all to Trump and Hitler, or any American President for that matter. That comes down to the historical knowledge and intellect part of this.

There isn't "no comparison." They use the same exact techniques to manipulate a crowd - the same psychology.
