The republicans keep insisting government is "the problem". I keep insisting it is the Elites(the International banks(Capitalists)) that have the politicians in their pockets as "the problem".
Now obviously this is our own opinions but what have past dignitaries believed?
"The Federal Reserve banks are one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever seen. There is not a man within the sound of my voice who does not know that this nation is run by the International bankers - Congressman Louis T. McFadden (Rep. Pa)
"Governments do not govern, but merely control the machinery of government,
being themselves controlled by the hidden hand"....Benjamin Disraeli
"The real rulers in Washington are Invisible and exercise there power from behind the scenes"...Justice Felix Frankfurter, US Supreme Court Justice.
"The real menace of our Republic is the Invisible Government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states, and nation"....Mayor John F. Hylan of New York. (1918-1925)
"I' am concerned for the Security of our great nation; not so much from any threat from without, but because of the insidious forces working from within!"...General Douglas MacArthur.
FEDERAL RESERVE:
"The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the U.S. Government since the days of Andrew Jackson"....U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a letter written Nov. 21, 1933 to Colonel E. Mandel House.
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."
Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom (1913)
"The Invisible money power is working to control and enslave mankind. It financed Communism, Fascism, Marxism, Zionism, and Socialism. All of these are directed to making the United states a member of a World Government"...American Mercury Magazine, December 1957, pg. 92.

Sir Alexander Fraser Tytler
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess of the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's great civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage.”
"Harry Truman once said, 'There are 14 or 15 million Americans who have the resources to have representatives in Washington to protect their interests, and that the interests of the great mass of the other people - the 150 or 160 million - is the responsibility of the president of the United States, and I propose to fulfill it.'"
President John F. Kennedy
McVeigh wrote letters to local newspapers, complaining about taxes:
“ Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight... Is a Civil War Imminent? Do we have to shed blood to reform the current system? I hope it doesn't come to that. But it might.
I believe McVeigh is right on the money. Though elaborating. WHat he means by messing up is the rich eat at the pig troughs and leave the bill to the tax payers, while the rich laugh all the way to the bank.....
"I believe that if the people of this nation fully understood what Congress has done to them over the last 49 years, they would move on Washington; they would not wait for an election...it adds up to a preconceived plan to destroy the economic and social Independence of the United States!"....George W. Malone, Senator of Nevada, speaking before Congress 1957.
Frank Zappa
"The illusion of freedom [in America] will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
Here's more to think about.
“I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world - no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.” -- Woodrow Wilson
"It is well that the people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." — Henry Ford
"Should government refrain from regulation (taxation), the worthlessness of the money becomes apparent and the fraud can no longer be concealed." — John Maynard Keynes, "Consequences of Peace."
"By this means government may secretly and unobserved, confiscate the wealth of the people,
and not one man in a million will detect the theft." — John Maynard Keynes (the father of 'Keynesian
"We have, in this country, one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board. This evil institution has impoverished the people of the United States and has practically bankrupted our government. It has done this through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it". - Congressman Louis T. McFadden in 1932 (Rep. Pa)
P.S. Sounds like capitalism is one big scam to support the wealthy elites.......Anyone that defends them is either deceived or eating at the pig troughs(getting a share).
Therefore is the problem Government or the wealthy Elite capitalists that control the politicians like puppets?
Now obviously this is our own opinions but what have past dignitaries believed?
