I agree the criminals need to go FIRST. So does Homan. Interestingly if the "sanctuary cities" refuse to honor ICE detainers . ICE will be forced to pick dangerous criminals up in their homes where ICE will inevitably fine additional illegals and deport them also. These sting operations will put ICE agents and the public at additional risk. This is will be 100% the Democrats fault.But a new survey suggests that Americans' support for mass deportation comes with important—and overlooked—caveats. Sixty percent of Republicans believe that "immigration enforcement should prioritize violent criminals and those with final orders of removal rather than 'all individuals without legal status,'" per a survey from the Bullfinch Group and the National Immigration Forum. Three-quarters of Republicans agreed that "family unity, respect for human dignity, and protection for the persecuted" must be "key priorities" as the government ramps up border security and immigration enforcement.
Overall, "significant majorities of groups" that voted for Trump "want his administration to focus immigration enforcement on threats to public safety rather than cast an unlimited net," the National Immigration Forum observed. The survey was conducted earlier this month among 1,200 adults, including 1,000 registered voters, and found similarly high support for that idea among Democrats, independents, liberals, and moderates.

Why do you think the MAGAts tanked the Immigration Bill? Why didn't Trump do this in his first term? Aside from claiming 30 million illegals voted for Hillary and build his vanity wall, what did Trump do to "Make it hard to work, have somewhere to live, drive on our roads and a lot will self deport"?

again if Trump does even 1/3 of what he says he is going to do the people of the USA are going to pay a hefty price.
Especially if he puts his tariffs on.
As I said the MAGA cried about inflation under Biden and part of that was caused by the COVID , Trump's tariffs will be on purpose and will increase the price of everything you buy , by at least the amount of the tariff and IMO big business will add a percent or two to pad their profits.
The border is 2500 miles long and about 35% is not accessible to large scale illegal migration (deserts and mountains). Trump had 452 of wall built. A lot of that wall was replacing old broken existing wall and car barriers. The 3.7% you quote is brand new wall not replacing old broke wall which was built in large part using ineffective old Vietnam war surplus helicopter landing pads.
