Is the Civil Rights movement what turned the South Republican for 50 years..

Let me help you move your baseless argument forward:

Explain how smaller government, fiscal responsibility, respect for the life of the unborn, and military preparedness play upon the alleged pro-Jim Crow sentiments of the South?

all of them fit nicely together since the advent of the Southern Strategy, doncha think?

no one is saying that all the POLITICIANS became republicans, just the voters... thanks to the very successful Southern Strategy.

You keep making this claim; but cannot support it with any facts. It is a false claim made in a vacuum of the history and facts.

I thought you wanted to debate? How does ignoring my question make for a debate?

I fully answered your question. How is being pro-Jim Crow mutually exclusive with being for smaller government, fiscal responsibility, respect for the life of the unborn, and military preparedness? The southern strategy was designed to fit them all together. It worked. Mehlman knew that and felt he needed to apologize to the NAACP for it.

For the first time ever a Southern State has shown some movement toward liberalism regarding social issues, Virginia with the AG's statement that he wont defend the anti-gay marriage ban. ...
An AG represents the views of the state's majority?

Desperation does not look good on you! ROTFLMAO

It’s not desperation you dishonest dunce; it is exasperation with the continual idiotic claims you make with nothing more substantive than "because you say so" over and over and over again even when I link facts that prove your inane nonsense completely false.

This is why one should never argue with an idiot like you; because you will ignore the facts, wallow in a never ending circle of stupidity, drag everyone down you your lowlife level and then beat us with experience.

You're a shitty debater, as well as, a shitty attorney that hasn't the most basic clue of what you are talking about.

I didn't say they were mutually exclusive. You're implying they're inextricably linked.

I asked how they were connected with Jim Crow?

And for that matter, how does bigger government and the welfare state become indicative of anti-Jim Crow? I already pointed out how Theodore Bilbo's positions did not make them mutually exclusive.

A look at the map shows that the south is nearly solid red....

again... did you forget to answer the question about Mehlman?

and all of the children of racists are magically transformed into bigotry-free negro loving folks simply by the passage of the CRA?

Dear dunce; if you had scrolled down it shows the HISTORIC data that illustrates the absurdity of your and Jarod’s claims.

Of course you would not do that because you are invested in your dishonest dialogue that contains no facts and is basically nothing more than empty headed hyperbolic bullshit.

if they are still democrats, why is the south predominately republican?

Up until the CRA, the white folks in the south LOVED Jim Crow. Now, the same folks love the GOP, thanks to the very successful Southern Strategy.

That wasn't the premise or claim of the thread; it claimed that the South became "red" as a result of Democratic racists switching to the Republican Party and that black folk then started voting for Democrats after the CRA.

Both are proven falsehoods. As I clearly stated and illustrated, it wasn't until 1995 that things started changing in the South which pretty much blows up the dimwitted theories expressed by dunces like you and Jarod.

it is historically accurate to say that the once blue south is now predominately red.

That wasn't the premise or claim of the thread; it claimed that the South became "red" as a result of Democratic racists switching to the Republican Party and that black folk then started voting for Democrats after the CRA.

that has always been my premise. the south is still full of negro hating racists... the democratic party abandoned them, so they started voted for republicans... national maps show that to be the case.

You cannot expect honesty or coherent debate with dishonest dunces; they are too stupid to comprehend facts, reality or the truth.

Best to just point and say: "look, at the idiots."
