Is this a violation of the right to protest?
 
Not if the protesters were breaking laws.

If the protesters were legal, then this is some bad shit and will not end well.
 
Supposedly, the police stormed in because the protesters were camping without a permit.


A city ordinance and state law prohibit camping in parks near the Capitol and people are forbidden in the parks between 11 PM and 5 AM, but it doesn't look like it's after 11 PM or before 5AM in the picture, does it?


Teabaggers had corporate mega-funding and an organizational infrastructure (courtesy of Dick Armey and the Kochs) along with sympathy from rightwing GOP politicians, so you didn't see cops silencing them.


The Occupiers presence offends the mighty 1%, and the authorities must placate the 'job creators' at all costs.

My god. What kind of society do you live in? Quite honestly there are no words to describe how I would feel seeing armoured thugs pointing machine guns at innocent civilians. You are supposed to be a civilised, first world country that is proud of its freedoms and its democracy. This is the second such display we have seen in as many days. What a truly sick, nauseating, disgusting society you are that accepts this as the norm. Democrats? Republicans? the same.
